Re: Sleep Mode for X1000 ?
Um wow! That is crazy. If that is what happened to me during live video, I would have freaked. Dent is one thing but take pictures for your arsenal in case fed/x tries to be stupid on this. I saw one other user that had a hard drive out of tray on delivery. Not like yours though. Sorry to hear of yo...

Re: Sleep Mode for X1000 ?
Ouch Dave, you have a damaged side panel also. Sheesh, that makes two of us now. Mine was the javelin pierced through the box dent on mine. You will have to post your damage once you settle down. Do like I did on live video, just go with the flow and not let it get you down. Mayb...

Re: Sleep Mode for X1000 ?
I'm sure it is of course possible, I'd be willing to hazard a guess and say to achieve this to an extent or an integrated level you are suggesting it would require quite a bit of effort and span across several individual files which in turn would be component parts of entire sections of the OS etc,...

Sleep Mode for X1000 ?
Wondering if Amiga OS has a way to allow the X1000 to go to sleep? Maybe during non use when nothing is happening and after the screen saver has timed out and my monitor goes into hybernation mode, would be nice for the X1000 fan to stop and the system go to sleep, easily waked up later at the move ...

Two desktop experience questions. Dock & Running Apps.
I have a stock 4.1u5 install on my X1000 right now. Installing all sorts of goodies on mine. Using TuneNet now listening to streaming radio is nice while I use OWB-MUI to write this question. I want a 2nd dock. Does this AMiDock allow me to have two docks, say the stock on bottom right side that goe...

Re: Recommended use for CF Slot?
I take it this CF slot will be programmed later to work with Amiga OS?
Would booting Amiga OS from CF card be possible and if yes, would that be quicker?

Re: Format external USB drive under OS 4.1u5
Cool, that worked for partitioning. I just made one big 465GB partition.
Is that an issue? Just using it to backup for now.
I then saw the drive mount, highlighted it, then selected Quick Format, and now the drive is seen in desktop.
Will test it now.

Format external USB drive under OS 4.1u5
Connected a 500GB external USB drive to the rear port of my X1000. The drive is formated for Mac right now OS X. Trying to format for use on Amiga OS so I can backup to it. Tried the format app in the System drawer and it sees the drive as USB0 but when I select it and ask to format, I get a message...
