Re: OpenGL Games on my X1000
Hans will have 3D Drivers marked on his list of things to do and if he happens across this thread he may give you an indication to how long you're looking at before this is finalised, of course this aspect is still just one piece of the puzzle. I cannot give any time estimates, sorry. Apart from th...

OpenGL Games on my X1000
Saw a post on Amigaworld the other day of some fun looking games for Amiga OS. One was called MunchDude Hero 2. I downloaded it but it did not run. I am guessing my Amiga OS 4.1u5 on my X1000 is lacking this OpenGL it talks about and looking for guidance. This is what the thread stated about this ga...

Re: How to play DVD Movies on X1000
Could the issue be that those videos of people playing multiple videos at the same time are not doing DVD obviously but instead playing avi files or some other file format that Amiga OS 4.1u5 seems to handle better than an actual DVD like I was doing? tj What about the demo videos of people running ...

Re: Welcome First Contact customers
to warm boot for example I do a Ctrl Alt Alt. I took that meaning the ALT keys are being used at Amiga keys. Is that a correct statement? Yes. If you use a non-official keyboard with an X1000, then the Alt & "Amiga" keys will be swapped, such that Alt acts as Amiga & Amiga acts as...

Re: X1000 RAM & Debian Squeeze Linux questions
The X1000 Manual on page 11 shows max memory to be 8GB. It does mention on dimm placement but since you have 3, the guide is confusing to follow as it mentions if you have just 1, use any slot, but if you have 2, use both inner slots, does not say if you have 3. My guess you use a 2gb in one of the ...

Re: Questions from a new X1000 owner and new OS4.x user
That would be cool! tj Dave, You can create a disc so you can restore easly, via the DVD app under extras. Select System: as your source dir and then create an image. You can then burn that image with same app. You will then be able to boot from that CD as if it were your system: partition on the HD...

Re: Welcome First Contact customers
Yes i know about the 2gb limit, thats why i typed virtually 2gb :) I bought 4gb so when we get >2gb support i can use it. About Swap i dont know if amigakit made any. All i can see is an not mounted partition called BDH0 that is 116mb big with standard filesystem. But as you said i dont need any. A...

Re: Easiest way to backup Amiga OS 4.1u5 AmigaOne
Not a problem AmigaDave. Yes I have been using the Backup from OnyxSoft : http://www.onyxsoft.se/backup.html Seems to work easily. I believe it even only saves new and changed files on backups after the last so you always are left with the last condition of the files. I will have to read their pages...

Re: How to play DVD Movies on X1000
One thing that surprises me, that while playing a DVD, and I launch say OWB-MUI to browse the net, the video starts playing slow motion or choppy. I have always expected video playback on the Amiga OS to be seemless. As I let the movie play it seems to get back on track but still, stimmys and stops ...
