Re: Soft reset problem with X1000 + HD6670 + RadeonHD 1.0
Yes, my X1000 has a soft reset problem where I have to use the reset button, but I've pretty much ignored it. I use a 6950 card that works fine otherwise. Often however on a hard reset, I lose USB initialization and can't access the CFE menu, then a power cycle is needed. Don't know if anything is r...

Re: Seeking a funtional SCSI-Card working in X1000
I may be off base, but are you sure your hard drives are compatible with this setting? Many former server drives are "locked" in a fashion to XBox drives. There is a discussion of this in the Classic forum. Atlas (formerly made by Maxtor) seem to work best with the "KillRDB" comm...

I was/asking how you were "the only one that is able to use it."

Re: [SOLVED] OS41 install hangs
I'm glad to hear it is working now. Once it is fully up and running, you can try the SCSI-->IDE again -- but you can pick up a bit more speed with a UWSCSI HDD @15K rotation 35mb/s in OS3.X OR 32MB/S in OS4.

Re: OS41 install hangs
Sounds like an odd HDD problem, I'm guessing from the use of the SCSI->IDE interface, where it won't save items; you don't give the particulars of your install partition which MUST be in the first 4 GB of the hard drive, less than 4 GB in size, FFS (with SFS/00) partition. Try either using a 4 GB CF...

New kernels will copy over the current kick layout file and require re-editing for specific needs.

Re: Understanding and Optimization of OS 4.1 for Classics
In addition to the slow IDE (vs UWSCSI on the CSPPC up to 35 MB/s), the BPPC's fast memory access is not the same as the CSPPC (32-bit vs 64-bit) and despite the high clock rates of the 603e, the platform is not as robust as the 604e. CPU Pipeline stages Misc PowerPC 603 4 5 execution units, branch ...

Re: Ubuntu Live Remix DVD now in stock at AmigaKit
Until an official fix is out, I made an iso that has all the information (PDF and 1 page instruction sheet) as well as several of the stable kernels available on the DVD prior to boot -- for reading/printing on a running system and to load a CF card. Since the original was sold by Amigakit, I guess ...
