Re: Slow Boot now = "No Boot"
Amigadave you didn't say whether you attempted to boot from the AmigaOS4 installation CD other not ? Trevor No, once I saw the answer that DHCP can stop the X1000 from booting, I was pretty sure that it was the culprit to this problem. If you have some other reason you want me to try booting from t...

Re: Slow Boot now = "No Boot"
I doubt things are nearly as bad as you are worrying. Not sure why you think I am exaggerating the situation. I am only describing what is happening and wondering if anyone else has experienced the same symptoms. I also wondered if the problem could be hardware related or software related, but sinc...

Final Writer
I have searched the forums here for mentions of FinalWriter and see that there is only very limited info, mostly in the Screen Dragging thread. I want to install FinalWriter on my X1000 and Update 5 and I found an Amiga Wiki site (http://www.amigawiki.com/cgi-bin/wiki.pl/FinalWriter_on_OS4) that has...

Re: Slow Boot now = "No Boot"
Have you tried to boot up off the CDRom just to eliminate possible hardware considerations? After 5 or 6 Cold Boots, I was finally able to get the X1000 to boot into OS4.1.5 again, but I am concerned that this is happening more often than it did in the past. The first time it happened was immediate...

Re: USB joystick not working as it should !
Works fine connected to the Subway USB port on the A1200T in your signature while running OS4.1, or works fine while connected to your X1000, while running OS4.1.5?tommysammy wrote:I have a Competition Pro USB and it works fine here

Slow Boot now = "No Boot"
I have on many occasions experienced delayed booting of my X1000 and on a few occasions have had to give up and try again by holding down the power button until my X1000 which has gotten stuck on the "AmigaOS 4.1" screen that is displayed before Workbench opens would shut down, so I could ...

Re: Help needed setting up Cubic IDE to work with OS4.x SDK
I am not a complete idiot when it comes to using computers I never meant to imply anything regarding your abilities. When answering questions in a public forum it's best to cover all the bases, starting from the most basic ones. I have personally had very little experience with other file systems. ...

I knew there had to be a solution (or at least I hoped there would be).LyleHaze wrote:It seems I _AM_ using the MUI version..

Re: OWB-MUI on X1000
I use the non-MUI version of OWB, and it never scanned fonts on entry until last week when I started copying some fonts around. It now recognizes that things have changed, and mine scans at every opening as well. I'll be watching this for more information. :) Lyle The only other experience I have w...

Re: Is Radeon 8500 now supported by AOS4.1 Update 5?
I just wish I could find an adapter which would fit into a PCIe slot on the Nemo2.1 motherboard, and convert the PCIe slot into an AGP slot, so I could use an AGP Radeon 9000Pro as a second video card in my X1000 for dual monitor setup and playing 3D games. Maybe no company has ever made a PCIe to ...
