Re: Resolutions People are using
Curious as to what Monitors people are using and what resolutions they are running at? I've heard of aspect ratio issues and am curious as to whether this is a real issue for people. I'm currently running 1280x1024 so pretty bog standard. - iiyama ProLite at 1920x1080 for the most part, - one BenQ ...

Re: Will not soft reboot
I had something similar happen. Although I could not figure out the exact cause, what helped was removing all cards from the X5000, and installing them again. I never had the issue again. Of course take all the usual precautions when handling electronic devices. Have you tried booting from the origi...

Re: 4g+ file on exfat drive
Does exfat understand umlauts (utf-8, i think) in the meantime? AFAIK, All the new filesystems (NGFS and FUSE based filesystems) now support UTF-8 encoded Unicode, even RAM: and ENV: handlers also do, (I added it myself). Thanks! The graphics system still uses 8 bit code pages at the moment. This l...

Re: Skip UBoot animation?
U-Boot is not a Hyperion product, so I suggest you contact AmigaKit/A-Eon for the latest copy. They can also give you the little utility that will update it for you under OS4, without using U-Boot itself (requires a running OS4 system, of course). I know :-) Have been in contact with Trevor but sin...

Re: X5000 OK?
Hi, my suggestion is the same, go for one! I'd buy one again as I'm happy with the X5000. The issue with the sound card which made the system unstable happened to me too, but the shop where I bought the AmigaOne from resolved it by sending me another audio card. Installing AmigaOS worked like a char...

Re: AmigaOS Shell issue (FE Update 1)
I checked old versions and they had the same problem as I did in the latest version - you could enter several commands, separated by <NL>, but when you backed up through them using the Up-arrow, the multiple-line commands gave problems. Even the old 68K versions didn't work properly. I've fixed it ...

Re: USB Power
You could always use one of those wall adapters which most mobile phones come with nowadays.... Simon That's the least desirable alternative because the WIFI adapter doesn't have a power switch. Even if it had a switch, starting my X5000 would feel more like the countdown to a missile launch: 10 9 ...

AmigaOS Shell issue (FE Update 1)
I'm starting a new topic on this issue: I noticed the Key sequence "CTRL-J" does not work the way it is described on the wiki AmigaDOS_Understanding_the_Shell under the section "Command Line Editing and Control". The wiki it says: Ctrl+J Adds a line feed. That's the way it behave...
