Re: How to use 2nd screen, the one behind workbench?

I think another option should be added to the Screen mode block in the Screens Preferences Display tab. A "Like Workbench" option should be added for Screen modes. I agree with you on that. It does seem useless for programs to remember screen settings by ModeID when those ID's are subject...

Re: How to use 2nd screen, the one behind workbench?

I hope someday SCREENS Prefs will be reworked. There are a few things which should be changed and/or added IMHO. ReAction should implement a "jump to screen" feature like MUI (eventho I, personally dislike MUI) Also, I'm not sure if it's Screens-Prefs tools fault, but If you exchange a mon...

Problems with List command

During my journey to solve a Link/Assign problem here http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=848&start=10 , I stumbled upon two small bugs(?) of the LIST command: Glitch Nr. 1: List does not list files in dirs with round brackets and quits with an error. C:List (53.1) s...

Re: DOS request for unavailable device

@Amigo1 List does not list files in dirs with round brackets and quits with an error. If you place a file in your test directory and list the directory by name like: list "Rename_Me(hh)" the list command shows nothing. However add some wildcards like: list "Rename_Me????" and th...

Re: DOS request for unavailable device

I just had a similar "problem" on one of my test partitions. I had created a soft link on that partition to a disk icon on the system partition (which was called "NewUpdate3:"). Then I renamed the system partition to "BetaSystem:" and checked the newly renamed partiton...

Re: DOS request for unavailable device

Open the file ENVARC:Sys/AmiDock.amiga.com.xml and look inside it for references to Work2: (you should have seen this when you did the Find earlier). One of the problems with AmiDock is that when you drag an icon and drop it on the Dock, it writes down the absolute path of the object, not the SYS:....

Re: DOS request for unavailable device

@Amigo1 Did you create any "links" to any files or directories on Work2?? Links will have a ">" at the beginning of the file comment. I can't think of any programs that will search for text in comments but you can list a partition to a file in ram (e.g. "list ALL SYS: >ram:...

Re: DOS request for unavailable device

looks like I've screamed "solved" a bit too early.. :-( The issue seems not to be related to Find, in fact when I click on AmiDock and then open the context menu of an item to then select "Reveal in Workbench" I get an -------------------------------------- AmigaDOS Process: 80 P...

Re: DOS request for unavailable device SOLVED

Thank you all guys, seems like I solved the problem. I tried out everyone of your suggestions, at the end it seems like Find did save "Work2" in some internal prefs file (seems strange to me, since the Partitions which should show up or ignored are saved in the TOOLTYPES as far as I can te...

Re: DOS request for unavailable device

Look in the tooltypes of Utilities/Find. Perhaps you have saved Work2: as an added path. mmh.. was amongst or even the first thing I looked to. :-/ So as I said, nothing pointing to "Work2" anymore in the whole system, no TOOLTYPEs and as far as readable prefs files give away none prefs f...
