Re: Tray icons in Workbench menu
I myself like the "thinkerers way" too. And I would like AmigaOS to let me do that, but I also think new users would be happy with a more "ready to go" setup. Maybe putting a clock/date docky on a fresh AmigaOS install will be doing the trick. An idea which shot through my mind r...

Re: Rename file directly with Enter key
OT 2 btw, it comes to mind: which is the proper way to confirm/exit from a stringfieldgadget with the keyboard? Let's say you want a new drawer and press RAmiga-N, you type in the name but you want to un-check the "create icon" checkbox, can't remember the keyboard shortcut to it, but if ...

Re: Contextmenu crash
Partly confirmed on X1000 with latest public OS version. I don't get a "solid hang", but on one occasion I did get a DSI similar to yours, which could be Continue'd. The good news is that when booting the latest beta, I can't reproduce it. So whatever the problem, it seems to have been so...

Re: Rename file directly with Enter key
I like it the way it is too, but nevertheless there is room for enhancement. I can't access any amiga right now, but if IIRK it is a little cumbersome if you accidentally rename let's say 30 files, or change your mind about renaming them. As I said I can't verify right now, but you need to hit the c...

Re: System Update Version
We already have component version numbers to track that. I see. In fact the bugs us end-users are reporting are surely additionally being tested on beta-system with newer versions of the components and so might already have been ironed out. Thanks for replying. :-) I like the work You are doing. Yo...

Re: ContextMenu and AudioCDs
By the way wouldn't it be helpful for bug-reports to integrate a "built xxx" scheme so to differentiate between updates? Each released mini update in update 6 increases the built count displayed in the "About..." window. That wouldn't work, because users are not (normally) force...

System Update Version
It thought it would maybe be helpful to you devs, for the sake of bug-reports, to integrate a "built xxx" scheme to differentiate between updates. Each released mini update in update 6 increases the built count displayed in the "About..." window. There could still be some confusi...

AudioCDs prevent System from Booting
Sometimes when I rip an AudioCD, I forget to take it out of the Drive. I noticed at least since 4.1 update 1 that the system will not boot. It gets stuck at a black screen, the Early Start Up menu can't be summoned but the keyboard reset shortcuts work. AmigaOne-XE 4.1 Update 6 up-to-date May 10th, ...

ContextMenu and AudioCDs
I noticed ContextMenu has some problems with AudioCDs. Double-clicking on an audio CD and then selecting "Show/All Files" in the context menu does not work. All files are displayed if I select from the Pull-down menus. I tried various AudioCDs. Same behavior on AmigaOne-XE and Sam440Flex b...
