Hi guys, I am in the process of installing Debian on my X1000 and I get as far as where I have to choose the language for the rest of the proces. That is: I do CFE: ramdisk -z -addr=0x24000000 -fs=iso atapi0.0:install/powerpc64/initrd.gz setenv bootargs "root=/dev/ramdisk" boot -elf -noint...

In my case it are the browsers that lock up the machine. muiOWB, OWB, Timberwolf, IBrowse: they all lock up. Sometimes in the first minute, sometimes after many many minutes.
YAM never locks, though.

No error messages. Just plain nothing. And I haven't tried the Snoopy-thing. That's on my todo-list.

MTB ran okay when installing FinalContact, but that was from cd of course. After install, from hd, it runs no more.

That is more or less exact what muiOWB does on my system: it freezes the lot randomly. Sometimes within 10 seconds after opening muiOWB, sometimes i takes tens of minutes before it comes to a halt. There is no specific website on which it dies, there is no debug-output other than RadeonHD.card (4): ...
