Re: 4.1.5 CD?
Thanks for letting me know! Looks like I've been forgotten. I'll give Amigakit a nudge. I may have received mine quicker because I had something else I was getting from them and since I am in the USA, they could save a little postage by using the same box since the CD is small and all. ;) tj A litt...

Re: Harddisk at the PATA-IDE connection
@AmigaDave, The IDE PATA port was one of the first drivers completed on the AmigaONE X1000. That was how the inital boards were tested. However, it was felt that users would prefer and expect fully working UDMA SATA drivers, which is what is included in 4.1 Update 5. The updated IDE PATA UDMA driver...

Re: OpenGL Games on my X1000
There is possibly another little glitch in the "install a second gfx card" in the pci slot idea... It doesn't work, I plugged a R9250 in (before I had the sound card / network cards fitted) and it wasn't found by OS4. This was in early December though and things minght have changed now......

Re: Harddisk at the PATA-IDE connection
@ Severin So we can currently use PATA IDE DVD drives but not PATA IDE hard drives? I am a little surprised as I am happily using my PATA IDE DVD drive to boot into OS4 from CFE and also to read from within OS4. As a betatester you have access to and will have installed the latest IDE PATA drivers ...

Re: Installing a Multi-Function Floppy/Card Reader
I also use a multicard reader on my AmigaONE X1000. However, I just connect it to one of the USB ports on the front of the AmigaONE tower case. (mainly to copy experimental Debian Squeeze & Wheezy kernels to the CF card before inserting the card into the the internal Compact Flash card slot. Tre...

Re: Debian Squeeze Install Procedures Manual?
Where can I download a copy of Debian Squeeze for the A1-X1000? Also, is there a limit on the size of the hard drive that can be installed on the A1-X1000? Version 1.7 of the Debian Install guide is just being completed to complement the latest Debian Squeeze kernel. This will be provide to the Ami...

Re: Debian Squeeze Install Procedures Manual?
Will this cover install both on the stock X1000 FC drive and also a 2nd hard drive if we don't want to fuss with the main drive? I actually would not mind installing it all on the main drive since I have a TB drive, lots of space. But, does that mean I have to format the whole drive and re-install ...

Re: Debian Squeeze Web Browser on X1000 do YouTube?
Curious if the Debian Squeeze on the X1000 has a web browser that does YouTube videos? What web browser is it that installs or is usable for this version of Debian Squeeze? How about Skype? Any chance linux based Skype works on it? tj Never tried skype under Debian Squeeze but have used a number of...
