Hi when I run Quake2 latest version on my X1000 under update5, I get a loud crack/pop from the speakers and then no sound. The game runs well (on 9250) but without sound. On quitting the game, the sound system for the OS is broken - Tunenet etc will not play sound and then hangs when I try to quit. ...

Success with setting up the PCIe to PCI adapter and my 9250.
I had to move the 4850 to the second x16 PCIe slot as it was blocking the uppermost x1PCIe slot.

So far this has does not seem to have caused any issues. Should I expect some, or do both x16 PCIe slots function equally under OS4.1u5?

I confirm that deleting the contents of muiowb/conf/font/ fixed the issue.

My X1000 started doing this after I changed the screen settings to make mui owb open on its own screen. I will try the fix that Chris describes.

Next update for X1000?
I was under the impression that 4.2 was the next planned update for X1000.
Is this incorrect and update6 is planned?

Thanks Niels. Does this rule out rtg.library as the source of the shadow errors?
With some more testing, I notice that the shadows are corrupted whenever I resize any Workbench windows.

Back at my X1000.
I looked for rtg.library and found it in System:Kickstart/rtg.library the version is 41.4355 (14/07/2011)
Is this the correct library or is another copy hiding in OS4 somewhere?

Hi, it is a 4850 card. The x1000 is a new system from amigakit which should be fully up to date. I am not at home to check the library versions. DOpus is also the version shipped by amigakit.
