Back again.
Just wanted to report that in order to install update 4, I was able to just download, unarc and double click. But after reboot I had to disable onboard usb again and I had to comment out the uhci.x and ehci.x otherwise, my g3 would hang at the splash screen.

I followed your very good information and was able to start using floppies.
I really didn't intend to use floppies for floppies sake.
I really wanted to use my older amiga (3.x) apps... so
I will report back on the catweasel as soon as I get it and set it up.
