Re: How does dual monitor word on X1000
Like Severin mentioned, there are commodties that will perform an automatic screen switch(LAmiga+M) when the mouse gets close to one edge of one screen. The part that requires some configuration is to decide what apps should go on what monitor. You cannot just drag apps over (unless there's a commod...

Re: Restarting input.device?
It could be an internal thing in the input.device task, like a watchdog task. So instead of starting a completely new separate input.device unrelated to the first it could just take over the existing input event stream that apps and the system has hooked into to send and read events. Basically a sta...

Restarting input.device?
A crash in input.device is probably one of the more annoying bugs because it can be pretty much completely harmless, yet it requires a reboot since all input is halted. How about if the system could detect crashes in input.device and restart it? That would allow the developer to check the Grim Reape...

Re: Mouse is different on USB vs. PS/2
Just wanted to say that my new version of AllKeys fixes the qualifier problem with the USB mouse wheel and actually also all USB(subclass2 and 3) EXTENDEDRAWKEYs which also didn't receive any qualifiers. Now I can press the MMB and scroll the wheel to change Mixer volume again, and make the play but...

How to set serial speed and other CFE settings?
I was just wondering how to set serial speed and other settings in CFE? U-Boot for other A1's have a set or variables the sets various things like disk config and speed, serial speed and whatnot, but what about the CFE in the X1000? Is there any complete list of variables or such that CFE or OS4 run...

Re: X1000 : graphical glitches with HD5450
I'd like to add that I also have gfx glitches, but with my HD6570 card. My problem is disappearing or partially drawn drop-shadows around windows. Sometime drop-shadows are drawn correctly, but sometimes they are only draw at the corners and sometimes they just disappear from a random window while d...

RadeonHD 6570 1GB shows 85MB free?
Hi The WB title bar shows I have about 80-90MB free gfx RAM in normal usage of my 1GB RadeonHD card, just like it did with my 256MB Radeon9250 card in the XE. I was just wondering if the 128MB gfx mem limit still applies even to GB RadeonHD cards? I don't think I've ever run out on 128MB but it woul...

Re: Key Combo to Cold Boot X1000 ?
Regarding reset: Does anyone know where the soft/cold reset are being handled? Input.device? hid.driver? Some input handler that depends on that input.device hasn't crashed? I was just wondering because I noticed that all HID tasks run at priority 10 while input.device runs at pri 20. Why is that? I...

Re: Sound prefs tries to reset intuition
You're right. It isn't sound prefs that cause this. It was probably a previous setting that couldn't reset WB that was rediscovered by IPrefs when I saved the sound prefs which again triggered an attempt to reset WB.

Re: Alt and Amiga keys are swapped on USB kbd.
@nbache I see! That really wasn't obvious at all! When I clear the languages i showed all the charsets as well. IMO it should always show all charsets but greyed out so you can't select them or something. @MichaelMerkel It did help. But the keyboard and mouse are sold as extras, although they may be...
