Re: No Early Startup Menu with a wireless mouse

I have a 440ep and wireless mouse and keyboard. You need BootM&K in Kicklayout active to get the Early Start. Not the HID driver. Try rapidly tapping on the Scroll Lock key or rapidly clicking both mouse buttons near the end of the loading sequence. Most wireless M&K tend to miss the first k...

Re: USBCtrl fails

@Moxee I can't help with the SATA. It seems that booting from there would be a UBoot setting. If the other drives have System drawers on them it could cause confusion as to where SYS:System is. You may want to check with someone else first, but if you are sure it is booting off of the SATA (with the...

Re: USBCtrl fails

Here is some other things I have noticed. To get to the Early Start Menu. If you have a optical wired mouse. Turn it over so you can see the light. Reset the computer, then watch and see when the light comes on. Mine turns on USB power just before the Splash screen. So holding down buttons/keys unti...

Re: USBCtrl fails

Bootmouse and Bootkbd are used before the USB stack is booted. Loading the HID stuff before the stack start is useless, and the stack is started in S:Startup-Sequence after IPrefs. Make sure BootMouse and Bootkeyboard are active in Kicklayout first, then ......... Try this experiment. Put a semicolo...

Re: USBCtrl fails

Moxee,

For Up3 are you un-checking the box on the last install screen before clicking 'Finalize' ?

And for the Developers.......why must this box be un-checked?

Re: USBCtrl fails

As the Kickstart modules load only a B&W progress bar and some text above it are displayed. The 3 finger reset does not go back far enough to do that and thus you are using older modules to load the next newer update. The next newer update may be looking for just previous version numbers to do a...

Re: USBCtrl fails

USBCtrl works on my Sam440ep.

Which file do I look at for version number?

Did one of the updates change/modify a version number?

Very confused. :?

Re: LoadWB freezes completely with Update3

Just curious.

When you get to the last step in the Up3 process, are you un-checking the box that says something about
rebooting before clicking the Finalize in the lower right corner?

If not then give it a try, switching the computer completely off to reboot afterwards.

Can you try this again without ever starting Dopus. Just use the Workbench and drag the files into the ramdisk
window. Just an experiment.
