Re: USB mouse/kb troubles on sam460

No,no. I'm saying the M & K are USB1.1 devices and do not require the EHCI drivers and
therefore are (may be) controlled by the OHCI drivers. The only time I have any problem
with EHCI is booting with a USB2 device plugged in before the system is full booted, and
then not with every USB2 device.

Re: USB mouse/kb troubles on sam460

The Mouse & Keyboard are low-speed so do not use the EHCI driver.

Just from scanning your logs it seems the 440 and 460 are somewhat different for USB.
I hope a 460 user can help out more, or a dev..

Re: USB mouse/kb troubles on sam460

And what of copying files after booting with nothing plugged in?

The parts of your logs where their are double quotes ( "" ) don't seem right. At least I've not seen that
on my 440ep.

I wonder if another 460ex user could compare to their logs? Please.

(Nice trouble shooting :-) )

Re: USB mouse/kb troubles on sam460

Yes, enable EHCI and cold boot with nothing plugged in. Then plugin M&Kbd and look at USB log. It should only be a little longer then the one you posted here. Try moving files around the HD, DVD etc. Then plug some mem stick or something that uses USB2 EHCI and see if the file copying goes to he...

Re: USB mouse/kb troubles on sam460

As a test try unplugging all USB2 type stuff, enable ehci, cold boot, then plug in memory/USB2 type stuff. I don't think the ehci driver likes (Direct Access) things on initial boot.????? Also, just to get this puppy walking, you might wish to try SFS00 on all your partitions and keep them under 10G...

Re: SAM440ep and update3 or 4

I have a motherboard SAM440ep 667 MHz (512 RAM) + Radeon9200SE graphics card. Another detail. If you take out the Radeon 9200 card, the M9, it works, no crash. But unfortunately for me the onboard M9 bad. Bad colors show on DVI. When you change from PCI to M9 are you changing 'Video Options' in UBo...

Using a Gravis GamePad Pro here with no problems. (Except I can't get it out of my wife's greedy
hands.)
