Re: Dock & Running Apps.

I'm not sure why the topic "Two desktop experience questions. Dock & Running Apps. " appears in the "General AmigaOS" forum but won't let me post but I have an AmiDock question based on the advice that was given in that topic. How do I make a second dock transparent like the...

Re: Maximising windows

Then you might just as well add that if you hold down RAmiga while clicking on icon it will close the previous window. This is using the default settings. And if you do have the prefs set to close the parent window automatically then holding RAmiga will keep the parent window open - eg. it reverses...

Re: Maximising windows

Hold LAmiga and click the close gadget to close all WB directory windows. I was going to say that doesn't work at all for me. But if you change LAmiga to RAmiga it does ! Then you might just as well add that if you hold down RAmiga while clicking on icon it will close the previous window. This is u...

Re: Maximising windows

Ace! :-) Thanks ZeroG. I wonder just how many other things I'm missing? Getting there... Hold down CTRL+ALT to change the size of the window from all sides/corners, hold down shift while screen-draging to move the screen in any direction like a window, press down the right mouse button to make any ...

Re: GUI look of MUI and ReAction

Thanks for all the info, sounds very interesting and something to look forward too. What it comes down to is that it would be nice if it isn't like now, you choose silvergreen (for example) and got a different look in MUI apps. I'm sure that there are different ways to solve this to make it easier o...

Re: GUI look of MUI and ReAction

When new mui will come (with 4.2) you will have ability to change in mui everything and everythere. I.e. you can setup mui to look exactly the same as reaction, choice any kind of colors/images/frames for every single object. Hello kas1e! This I know and it's already a huge improvement over the pre...

GUI look of MUI and ReAction

Hello! One of the things being talked about is to have the GUI in AOS 4.x looking the same everywhere. It does look similar with the default theme but what I wonder is if it's possible to add a function to copy other GUI-parts than the lister in MUI? Like buttons, popup-menues etc. I guess that it i...

Re: Screendraging and requesters

Requesters bring the screen to the front when they open, to avoid the situation where a requester opens on a hidden screen and the user doesn't realise. I don't think they take into account whether or not they are visible due to screen dragging. Unfortunately, there is no API to say "is this w...

Screendraging and requesters

I'm wondering if this behaviour is normal: I use workbench with this screenmode; 1920x1080, 32-bit. I use DOpus 4 with this screenmode; 1920x1080, 16-bit. I unarchived a file to the RAM-disk using DOpus 4, dragged down the screen to get access to workbench, installed the program and choosed to delet...

Re: USB issue

What happens if you try what I've mentioned in earlier posts on the front ports? If it works as expected I need to get another USB-hub :-) . I don't know how reliable that hub is really, if used on my powermac with macos x every time I boot either the mouse or keyboard won't work unless I replug it....
