Re: X1000 error logging

Yes! I have a Micro-AmigaOne running in the background, connected to the X1000 by serial cable. With "Term" running on the Micro, and 'setenv os4_commandline "DEBUGLEVEL=5 SERIAL" ' somewhere in the CFE command structure, The Micro will spew lots of interesting data on every cras...

Re: Thinking to the future, X1000 Add-On CPU Board ??

Just playing "Devils Advocate".. The Nemo board has physical connectors for PCI and PCI Express. There is also the Xorro slot, which has access to many of the pins of the Builtin Xena chip. There are NOT connections for a processor. Unlike some previous AmigaOne designs, the CPU is not soc...

Re: Would digg this fanless fan on X1000

It looks like it MIGHT have enough "lift" over the top surface of the CPU to go over the top of the RAM banks. Maybe. Docs I have seen are not that specific. Then, of course, that's if you don't mind removing your heatsink to change RAM. I wonder if using the "outer banks" would ...

Re: Would digg this fanless fan on X1000

I doubt it would be worth the effort of fitting it, it's probably meant for quad core+ intel room heaters the pa-semi doesn't run hot enough to need serious cooling. Even if your doing 24/7 number crunching under linux the supplied heatsink and fan should be more than enough. they're not going to r...

Don't forget additional struts to support the weight of the heatsink!

Seriously, it's beautiful.

Re: Any benefit to using HDMI instead of DVI Port on X1000?

I have been using a regular HDMI to HDMI cable to connect my X1000 HD4650 card (stock with the X1000) to my 37" Vizio television/monitor.
Some televisions handle it better than others, the X1000 works great this way. I handle sound separately so I don't miss it a bit.

Re: How to access vendorID and ProductID in an USB Interface

My code was cleaned up and brought up to date by Tjitte 'OldFart' de Wolff. It's much better than it was.. Still for the same purpose, to find and detail unclaimed USB interfaces. Thank You, Mr. de Wolff! His revised program is here: /* ** sniff.c ** ** gives some details on any unclaimed USB device...

Re: How to access vendorID and ProductID in an USB Interface

Abalaban, I can help. I have a short prog here that will probably show what you're looking for. This is NOT a "proper" program, it's just a short hack for sniffing around for unclaimed USB interfaces. This is also my first attempt at using the "hidden" tags to prevent ugly code d...

Re: Key Combo to Cold Boot X1000 ?

If I happen to be typing in a shell whern I'd like to reset, I just type "reboot" into the shell. For a quick reboot, "reboot fast" reloads the OS without reloading kickstart. But if something has locked up the machine, I would much prefer to press the reset button than to cycle ...
