Re: x1000 Random resets.

Reset? Just that? A complete cold reboot or just going black (dead) and needing a case power on? If its the latter it's definitely not a software issue, but surely the hardware shutting down. As Niels said, check the temperature (or better check the seating of your heatsink and fan). The other possi...

Re: Bought a Sam 460ex, advice please on how to get the most out of it

@NinjaCyborg Easy. - Use it every day,. - Adapt the software to your needs. - Ask on the forums for whatever topic. - Play games through ScummVM, E-UAE or by other means. and my personal favourite - Learn how to script (Arexx, Perl, Python etc.), port or code and stress your machine even more. But m...

Re: GCC & G++ randomly unable to compile C/C++ programs

I know this error as well, but I can normally fix it by adding -lpthread to the linker line, but I guess that is not the problem you're facing.

Re: GCC & G++ randomly unable to compile C/C++ programs

I simply backed up (by renaming) the old gcc/adtools stuff and installed the new one to my SDK.

Works here.
Hope it will fix your issues.

Re: GCC & G++ randomly unable to compile C/C++ programs

Hi Raziel. Slightly encouraging to know I'm not the sole person to get this error (which a Google search seemed to suggest!). Yes, I have 2GB of RAM (2*1GB DIMMs). But it happens even with the smallest possible C/C++ project: int main() { return 0; } So GCC memory usage shouldn't be a factor. (In f...

Re: GCC & G++ randomly unable to compile C/C++ programs

@ChrisH I know this error (the assertion was very randomly for me) but the "internal error" hit me reproducably, but only when I was messing around with more than 4 GB of RAM and more than 2 RAM sockets occupied. With the above setup I could reproduce the issue nearly all the time. Without...

Re: PCI-e soundcards for X5000?

@nbache Actually I didn't read it as "buy a tabor and mix os4 versions to update" but rather as "buy a tabor and use the most up-to-date os4 as intermediate solution until your main hardware gets the update as well". So, no harm done because I will never burn money for an already...

Re: PCI-e soundcards for X5000?

@Roland No betatester here, just another poor sodded end-user who spent his hard earned money to support further AmigaOS4 development...which will never see the light of day...if you aren't on the NDA train. Anyway, I did not test with any kind of file, but with the linked yt video...though I believ...

X1000, yes, i know...but your request was not directly aimed at X5000 users only.
Sorry, if i wasted your time, i thought you wanted to rule out a software issue as well...

Re: PCI-e soundcards for X5000?

@Roland

Both the onboard chip and a Envy24HT based card play the video and sound fine here.
