Re: Bug in Multiview Search requester

As far as corrupted characters popping up in the string gadgets of the ASL requesters this is IMHO probably due to the way that asl.library interacts with the string gadgets and is IIRC not something that is easily fixed. Either any code that modifies the string contents should be made to never leav...

Re: WIKI errors for sift.c example in IFFParse Library docs

1. variable names all in lower case, the words joined by underscores (such as "engine_water_temperature"); and I don't really have a preference either way regarding variable naming, but in my own code I usually use all lower case letters for local variables and reserve use of capitalised names for ...

Re: WIKI errors for sift.c example in IFFParse Library docs

Anyone else think the indentation style of those iffparse examples should be changed to something more easily readable?

I'm fine with either:

Code: Select all

if (expression) {
    blah();
}
or:

Code: Select all

if (expression)
{
    blah();
}
The current style gives me a headache just from looking at it.

Re: Outline Font OT_BaseLine data not found

This should be about the same method that diskfont.library uses to calculate the font->tf_Baseline value:

Re: REQS_MaxChars - wrong documentation?

Because REQS_MaxChars must be a maximum of REQS_Buffer - 1 That's what the autodoc said but it isn't true for any version of "requester.class" that is tagged in the SVN. Most likely the behaviour was changed very early on and the autodoc entry was simply not updated to reflect this. I've fixed both...

Re: REQS_MaxChars - wrong documentation?

If REQS_MaxChars has worked like it does now since the beginning and it's not just a recent bug then the more appropriate action would be to correct the documentation. Less chance of breaking existing programs that way. BTW the autodoc entry for STRINGA_MaxChars doesn't mention at all whether the nu...

Re: Outline Font OT_BaseLine data not found

TypeManager uses OT_BaseLine but also has fallback code which calculates the baseline based on the highest ascend and descend values of the glyphs if OT_BaseLine fails so I guess OT_BaseLine is not something that can be relied upon for all fonts.

Re: Compositing kills SDL/MiniGL performance on the WB scree

...or finally support the whole gfx ram available on a gfx card, instead of only 128 MB... We'll get there eventually, although that won't help users of older Radeon cards (and the Radeon M9) that genuinely have less than 256 MiB. Hans Not to sound harsh, but with the speed of development, the boar...
