Re: USB HD NTFS or exFAT AOS4.1 FE 1 X5000

I've used two different Buffalo 1 TB hard drives formatted with NTFS and with exFAT with AmigaOS without problems. Looks like the problem is that your USB hard drive is not recognised by the mass storage device driver for some reason. I've noticed that some new external hard-drives are USB3 and don...

Re: Gorky 17 Config issue

... do I need to buy RadeonHD V1.7 and RadeonHD V2.10 as well? It's all very unclear what is and what isn't needed. You certainly don't need to buy both of them. Since you can have access to higher screen modes like 1920x1080 you probably already have one of them (the Radeon HD driver that is inclu...

@ralph.egas

AFAIK the correct place to submit bug reports for A-Eon software is:

Re: Help with __translate_amiga_to_unix_path_name

Only final question is my extern declaration correct way to get to the global instance as INewLib was not declared anywhere I can see? Yes, it is correct. The newlib interface is private as you guessed so you won't find it in any header file, but all interfaces start with the fields defined by stru...

Re: Help with __translate_amiga_to_unix_path_name

If you look more closely at the GR report you can see that the IDOS pointer is NULL when it is trying to get the NameFromLock() function. This is because of a bug in newlib.library that was fixed in version 53.31. Basically if the requested minimum version of newlib.library is >= 52.39 it assumes th...

Re: Date & Time will not stay

OTOH there would be even less sense in not adhering to the time changes the rest of the world have chosen to make - sort of like insisting on driving on the other side of the road than all your fellow drivers. I never suggested doing any such thing. If the A-Eon time prefs doesn't work correctly wi...

Re: Date & Time will not stay

The stupid time prefs in the humourously named "Enhancer" pack is baffled by daylight saving, and was always one hour out. I eventually solved the problem by programming daylight saving dates into it (even though the standard AOS locale prefs writes this to a variable. To be honest there is nothing...

Re: Date & Time will not stay

Setting it to a "time server" for the date and time (no one elaborated on how to do this) is handy but does not address the real problem. Just add to your S:network-startup file: Date SERVER <ntp server> SetClock SAVE and your clock will be set according to NTP every startup. I use fi.pool.ntp.org ...
