Re: ubuntu MATE 16.04.1 LTS Live USB
@Spectre660 You could also download one of the newer kernels and copy it to the X5000 fat partition on the live USB . I downloaded 4.16 final, and there is a lot of files inside.. Should i only replace uImage-cyrus with uImage-4, or i should copy all the files from x5000 directory over old ones (inc...

Re: ubuntu MATE 16.04.1 LTS Live USB
@all Tried to install that X5000_Ubuntu_16.04.1_Live_USB-3.img on my x5k, and can't boot. All i have on serial is that: X5000> usb reset resetting USB... USB0: USB EHCI 1.00 scanning bus 0 for devices... 4 USB Device(s) found USB1: USB EHCI 1.00 scanning bus 1 for devices... 3 USB Device(s) found sc...

Re: Support here too much biased towards kernels...?!
@Roland I'am afraid the answer is no. Yeah, i also tried for now to burn some ISO of fedora26 ppc64, and it can't boot too. It has the same symptoms of show nothing on serial and on screen, just can't go futher after initial x5000 boot logo. So .. how to install it all then, if DVD/CD isos can't boo...

Re: Support here too much biased towards kernels...?!
@caseycullen Debian PPC64 is an active port. Fedora and OpenSUSE also have active PPC64 ports. Is any of them support x5000 out of box ? I.e. to be able just download iso , burn it on dvd, and boot from it on x5k ? I tried yesterday ubuntu-mate, i.e. just download ubuntu-mate-16.04.1-desktop-powerpc...

Re: New X5000 user : any update ?
@Skateman
On the link above there is no new uboot. Only additional little programms and info about how to update it, but not latest version itself.

Re: New X5000 user : any update ?
@Lio For new uboot you probably can try to write to Mattew directly or to Trevor. I got my one from Trevor. As for system stability - i have no issues with my x5k. Nothing like "slowdowns" for seconds, or anything of that sort. I just have os4.1few update1. And with what i agree completely...

Re: Bad time picture
@Raziel Yeah, i also told many times to Mattew that it is bad idea to start overwriting alredy working os components. As result (and as it was execpted) almost all new rewrited components have new bugs, new problems and diffeences with originals with which users should live, and which is not fixed. ...

Re: Hyperion/support presence on this forum
@spud Just a question to get the right expectations. How official is the support forum? Is it just a community forum where you post, cross your fingers and hope to get an answer. Or is it really the formal support forum and can posts be compared to support tickets? Mostly first one. In general that ...

Re: SDK 2017 wishes
@Belxander After all those years of your cheap talking without delivering things, you still continue to talk in the same way as before. Facepalm on you! Same good old Belxander style. @Spectro You make it sound like there is a lot developers who just wait "wishes" to just write a lot of ne...

Re: ARexx "not not" bug
@xenic I do not know how it correct or incorrect for now, but few years ago once i ask about adding arexx support to URLopen, i was told that arexx is depricated or something like that. Probably that discussion even on that forum somewhere, can't remember for now. If that changes since then, then pr...
