Do we need kernel 3.17 to enable hardware acceleration ?

I have tried 3 different versions of kernel 3.17.0 that you released..unfortunately none of them is working..
No output from video after loading kernel from Uboot

Successfuly installed on sam460. I chose Lubuntu desktop.

However whole system feels very sluggish. It seems hardware acceleration is disabled,
