Re: Spectre660's Linux downloads for the X5000

@Spectre660 Is it possible to use your ramdisk installers (Debian 8 and Ubuntu 16.04) also for installation from a .iso file? What file should be used in that case as a source for each of these distros? I am asking this because I have a slow internet connection, and it would be more practical to dow...

Re: Keyboard slowing down boot process over 20 secs

@Roland Have you tried with a more generic keyboard? Not yet... As X5000 is my first machine with USB, I do not have any old peripherals around. Have to wait until I can borrow something to test... On the other hand, as I bought this expensive 'Loriano keyboard' especially for X5000, I would natura...

Re: Keyboard slowing down boot process over 20 secs

I don't have an X5000 yet but was wondering if unplugging the mouse or mouse & keybord has any effect. With mouse (A-Eon BoingBall MV 1000-1) I have not noticed any problems or effects on boot process, it is only the Keyboard. There are also problems with text input, but that topic deserves a n...

Re: Keyboard slowing down boot process over 20 secs

I have a mechanical keyboard from WASDKeyboards. The Boing Ball in the boot anim spins really fast when its not plugged in! Ok, thanks for this info... So It seems this is a problem (or "feature") of all Cyrus+ boards. Not a big deal in normal use, but quite annoying when you are 'debuggi...

Re: Keyboard slowing down boot process over 20 secs

I noticed a strange thing when I tested booting without my keyboard connected... The X5000 booted over 20 secs faster without the keyboard connected than with it! And it was the boot animation which was affected: it run much faster when the Keyboard was unplugged. What was most pecular, disconnecti...

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock

The one that fails, is : HP H3C52AA P/N : 691725-071 ( It's usaually conected to my HP laptop) The working, is : Logitech ITouch P/N 867063-0104 ( White multimedia, with two USB ports, that don't work in the X5000 ( "low voltage level" appears in workbench). But works in PC. I think there...

Re: Odyssey - YouTube - Offline Movies - system freezes

It is indeed an Envy24HT card. These cards also have the bridge chip that have the problem with the CMI cards. However based on my postings above some Envy24HT cards with the problematic version of the bridge chip (Revision 1) may work . Mine is the only report of a version with the revision 1 chip...

Re: Odyssey - YouTube - Offline Movies - system freezes

I am not at all familiar with audio cards, so I would like to ask... Is this card anyhow affected by the problems discussed here: https://www.amazon.fr/KALEA-INFORMATIQUE-Contr%C3%B4leur-EXPRESS-PCI-CHIPSET/dp/B00CI7D72G The test program for which there was a link in Cyborg's earlier message does no...

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock

Yes, if conect the other keyboard, the clock don't work. The clock shows in every boot the same time. It does not maintain it, I start the equipment, I adjust the hour. But when I turn it off and on again, show 12:00 on 01/01/2011. This on every boot. With the actual keyboard, the time and date it's...
