Re: X1000 boots to black with Radeon R9 270X and 2.7 driver
Quick update - today I have carefully packaged and shipped my X1000 board to AmigaKit to inspect. Hopefully the issue(s) identified are fixable - I look forward to being able to use it again soon. Has been a week now of not being able to use my X1000 - definitely missing it! i hope amigakit are abl...

Re: CUPS Printing System to AmigaOS4
A long while back, I read something about a universal printing system from the Linux environment called CUPS, if I am not mistaken. What is the current status of it? Any change to bring it to AmigaOS4? Would be nice to do some serious printing and scanning. I'm a freelance hobby photographer. I lik...

ScreenBlankerEngine dies with DSI
folks, attempting to start the screen blanker on my system today after the various updates, i receive a DSI error, after which the task doesn't exit cleanly. the system is a pegasos2 running AOS 4.1 update 6 with the latest components available on the public update server. here is the crash log: Cra...

@imagodespira
yes, yes, a thousand times yes!! i would love for a 'browser' option in workbench alongside the current icon and lister views. your screenshot looks magnificent.
@others
i don't agree the browser metaphor should be the only option. but it should be an option.

Re: Grid Layout for Icon/image view
I would like to have a grid layout System for Icon and Image view. The current System has not really a good view, it is based on the Name of the file. The file Name should be shorter (20-30 letters then ...). Then put the layout in a fixed height and width. We also need a Image preview for Bitmap f...

Re: Warpos support
quite a bit. i still use titles like fxpaint, perfectpaint, and wipeout 2097. basically anything which is 'powerpc-native' and released prior to OS4.trixie wrote:What's so good about WarpOS anyway? Was any significant software released for it?
i really wish joerg were still about.

Re: Documentation for Python-based Installer
I always intended to write documentation for it but never got around to actually doing so. I'll look around what kind of notes I still have lying around on my disk from way back when I wrote that thing, but it isn't going to be much (I think there should be some doxygen documentation in the source)...

Documentation for Python-based Installer
Steven, et al, I'm looking for any documentation that might exist on the Python-based installation utility that is native with OS4.1, specifically, I'd like to be able to specify different destinations for different packages of software. I'm also interested in what 'pages' are available by default b...

DVD drive not recognized on first boot
now this is an odd one. my silverstone slot-loading DVD drive is never recognized by AOS on the first cold boot of my pegasos2 machine running OS4.1u5. if i do a warm reboot thereafter, everything is fine -- although i still have trouble playing DVDs on it at an acceptable frame rate, but that's ano...

Re: USB stalling - is there a workaround/fix for this?
*sigh* this is still present in Update 5. Can somebody please, please, please as a priority, fix this incredibly irritating bug, which often makes OS4 unuseable. agreed. this is still extant on update 5 -- both on my SAM440ep-flex and pegasos 2 systems. under heavy CPU loading the USB stack starts ...
