Re: Sam460ex - Fall/Winter Solder Touch-up Project

I guess you're expecting a bit too much from the Sam460 rather than it is broken.

Regarding ethernet: I have no problem filling the fast ethernet port (100 Mbit/s) on my Sam440@733 MHz so I'm expecting you to be able to do that with your faster Sam460, if your broadband connection is that fast.

Re: Sam460ex Revisited Fun Factor Up!! Lazarus Lives!

The baudrate (115200) has nothing to do with your ethernet ports. Leave it as it is. I'm using a SSD disk in my Sam440. I guess you're using a mechanical HDD? I'm not saying that Odyssey is blazingly fast, it _is_ slow on "heavier" sites, which is expected on a G3@733 MHz. But it works. What broadba...

Re: Sam460ex Revisited Fun Factor Up!! Lazarus Lives!

I would say that Odyssey is a must-go. Even on my Sam440ep-Flex @ 733 MHz and Radeon 9250. Your Sam460 shouldn't be slower than that. How fast is your machine; 1, 1.1 or 1.15 GHz?

Re: Sam460ex Revisited

Great.

I wonder how many Sam460ex users that sold their machine or put it into storage due to picking the wrong memory module.

Re: Websites More Cooperative?

As accurate as the TCP/IP stack is, since version 53.5 (the current) I would say. I've reached 100 Mbps (12.5 MByte/s) with my Sam440ep-Flex@733 MHz (with FTP client, not with Odyssey). You might have to tweak your settings to reach that even though you have a much faster machine. Where and what wo...
