Re: Kernel Generic-HID Device-my case [Solved]

Hi all, The Ducky Shine 4 keyboard has Dip Switches. By default it comes with the N-Key Rollover Mode (NKRO) enabled. Switch this Dip Switch Off for 6-Key Rollover Mode (6KRO). 6KRO Mode is more compatible with KVM or operating systems that do not support N-Key Rollover (NKRO). This took care of my ...

Re: Double trouble (long read)

Hi Bart, The one liner about the USB stick was meant to be light but reading again I can see where it could read the wrong way. So Christian provided me the download links and the Terminal scripts to Download unpack and copy the Mate 16.04 Disc Image in 12.04. Here's the link to that thread: http://...

Re: Double trouble (long read)

Absolutely! You guys are great! My intent when I bought my X1000 one year ago was to be where I am with it now. You all keep up the great work. I'll try not to be such a bother now and enjoy the fruit of the labor.

Cheers!!

Re: Double trouble (long read)

Hi kilaueabart!

Hope you get up and going. A lot of what it took to get me going was xeno74's threads and, of course, the questions I asked him. A wealth of knowledge here.

Cheers!!

Re: Double trouble (long read)

John, Very good configuration. Well done! Cheers, Christian Christian, Thank you. You are a source of great information and a wealth of knowledge. Aside from setting up HD's with Partitions and working through my quirks, I could not have got Linux up and running on my X1000. You answered all of my ...

Re: Double trouble (long read)

Hi again Bart, My best advice to give you is what I did for myself. First. Back up all your data. I'm sure you have now. Make sure your CF Card set up and stable. In GParted, select your CF Card, pull down Devices from menu and create Partition Table - MS-DOS. Then make your CF Card 1 entire FAT32 p...

Mate 16.04 LTS - Amazing!

Christian, After this week of Ubuntu Mate 16.04 LTS, I have been using it as my Primary OS on my X1000! Now all we need is a 16.04 LTS DVD offered by AmigaKit! It is amazing to know the amount of work it took to get our PPC version to this point. I am still using Kernel 4.1.20 as my "stable" kernel ...

Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 16.04 LTS

Hi! Page 9 of this thread has the instructions for View Tube installation. ;) I have a Radeon 6670 GPU. YouTube video plays good except in full screen. In Low Definition MP4 I can expand using the "+" within Firefox. So far I have not done anything to resolve the Fail to load Braille or Kernel Modu...
