Re: Entering BootMenu fails (BVisionPPC 4.1FE)
Ahem....guys, please read the FAQ on the ISO....from page 2 of the Classic FAQ: One more question on the FAQ, how do we read the FAQ ?! It would have made sense to have it in other format then pdf, even if pdf but in earlier (v1.3) format accessible on the classic side. Ideally a normal txt file or...

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition for classic
ENV:Warp3D/Permedia2/wipeout_demo/DisableAdditiveBlending These options are specific to the Permedia2 driver. I don't know if they are configurable for Warp3D in general, but I doubt it. Darren Yes, specific, but available in v5, there is no such thing in the v4, it has a few options, but nothing l...

Re: BlizzardPPC scsi
Yes, that's a possible work around. The CD is basically a direct copy of a special bootable hdd partition. The only tricky part is to disable it from auto mounting here, otherwise the bootcd what ever is loaded there likes to crash here, you get to see the CD contents, but can't do anything, systems...

Re: BlizzardPPC scsi
The driver can be extracted as a file, so in theory it's just another 68K driver like any other. The other question is will the needed memory space be accessible. Talking of drivers, why no one ever looked at the driver in the apus distribution ? It's native ppc code and adapting it should be very s...

Re: BlizzardPPC scsi
Just wondering... Since we have 68K emulation, and it works for some legacy parts of the OS like CNET ethernet cards, would not the same method work for blizzardppcscsi.device ? Ok this would not allow booting, but at least mounting the drives later after the OS has loaded and giving you access to a...

Re: Entering BootMenu fails (BVisionPPC 4.1FE)
Who's bright idea was it?! I guess this kind of setup is unique to a point of one at most, and that's the only setup of who has done it. Ideal config in that case: OS4 running on A1200 with VGA monitor running on AGA chipset and a video card available and not used for some reason. and probably 2 VGA...

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition for classic
ENV:Warp3D/Permedia2/DisableAdditiveBlending When set to "on", the emulated additive blending (that was introduced the V4) is disabled. This fixes issues with Wipeout2097's exhaust trails but makes Heretic2, Quake3 etc. look awful. In order to address the problem above, you can create env...

Re: Entering BootMenu fails (BVisionPPC 4.1FE)
Original keys and mouse.
And as I said, it looks like the video driver crashes for (BootVGA) screen, since the power led flashes and everything dies.
Doing some tossing around with modules makes the new kernel work but only on AGA (for BootMenu and no startup screen)

Re: Entering BootMenu fails (BVisionPPC 4.1FE)
Nothing special.
A1260T with 128MB BlizzardPPC + BVisionPPC + SCSI (missing all hardware under OS4) + CNET + 2 IDE HDDS (4GB) directly on A1200 ide port
Keyboard and mouse should not have any effect on the config since they work in genuine original protocols.
PS: It worked in 4.1.2 almost flawlessly

Re: Memory consumption of 4.1 FE
On a 128MB system, after 4.1FE loads I have about 76 MB available.
But I do have quite a few partitions, a working network and a 1024x768x24bit screen + anything that it loads by default (have not done any serious nodding so far).
