Re: Using Newlib in a library
Thank you for your fast answer. I'm wondering what happens when different applications open the library simutaneously. I thought global variables would be a problem. Does the library have to manage the sharing of the variable or does each process get its own global variable ? Should that kind of glo...

Using Newlib in a library
Hi, I'm writing my first OS4 library and my current code uses some libc functions. As I'm using Newlib, gcc complains about INewlib not being defined. My questions are: - is it ok to use Newlib in a library ? - apart from getting rid of it, what's the way to using Newlib in a library ? I could not f...

Re: X1000 boots to black with Radeon R9 270X and 2.7 driver
Seems to fragile to take any chances even with a backup. Firmware update may be harmfull, that's why you have to understand and follow precisely a detailed procedure. If you don't need to update your firmware, don't do it. If you're not sure of what you're doing, don't do it. In the case of Epsilon...

Re: X1000 boots to black with Radeon R9 270X and 2.7 driver
As your troubles began when you swapped your graphics cards, did you make sure that some dust didn't fall in the PCIe slot, creating some kind of shortcut, aggravated by the successive swaps ? The beta wiki article I wrote, when I beta tested the X1000, which summarizes information about Nemo's firm...

@samo79
I had read your posts already, and effectively, the problems are similar in the sense that ScreenMode Prefs displays resolutions which can't be used.

Re: 4.1FE BugReport: Weird auto detected screen mode
@xenic Wise comment. I've been looking for supported resolutions and the Hyundai w220D accepts upto 1680x1050 through VGA or DVI connectors, and video resolutions upto 1080i/p through HDMI connector. What's surprising is: - 4.1U6 doesn't display this mode, why ? - 1920x540 is really displayed as suc...

Re: 4.1FE BR: reversed Amiga and Alt keys
The problem is, each time I power the X1000, I have to check first if the keys are reversed or not. If they were always reversed, fine, I would change the settings, but it's random. I'll check if Input Prefs can help. Edit: I just had the problem, and effectively, using Input Prefs allows me to get ...

4.1FE BR: reversed Amiga and Alt keys
Hardware: X1000 2Gb RAM Radeon HD6950 (MSI R6950 twin Frozer II) OS: Clean OS4.1FinalEdition Symptom: When the keyboard is not detected at boot, unplugging and plugging it back makes the OS detect it but Alt and Amiga keys are reversed. Edit: I got the keys reversed after a coldboot, without unplugg...

Re: Recommended use for CF Slot?
Hi,
Keep in mind that the CF slot is only usable by CFE for the moment being, not AmigaOS.
You can format your card with FAT32 or FFS.
