Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 16.04 LTS

Hurra! I got a Mate screen! The fault of mine was I guess the wrong bootargs. It seems to be necessary to set the bootargs command exactly as you Xeno have written it. Some thing after the /dev/sdd2 part is a must have. I omitted the "quiet ro splash ". Maybe that that was the reason of fa...

Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 16.04 LTS

I always get the message: Failed to load modules. They were not found. This was the reason why I asked, where the modules belong. I have this message too and nevertheless all my kernel modules are working. @All ubuntu MATE 16.04 Final Beta is out! https://ubuntu-mate.org/gallery/blog/ubuntu-mate-16...

Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 16.04 LTS

My next question: How has the structure of the CF-Card to look like? My card looks as this : Is this okay? Hi Papaoskar, Well, you only need the kernels and initrds on your CF card. Cheers, Christian Hi Christian, but where do the kernel modules go? As every kernel seems to have different modules i...

Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 16.04 LTS

Hi Xeno,
Taken your advice and did another dd for the 8GB stick. Took around 48 minutes!

What about copying the stick content to a HDD partition? And then boot the HDD partition?

Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 16.04 LTS

I did not mind and formatted the cf-card with two partitions with ext2 ! Luckily I had a backup of my cf-card and then copied all the content back to my newly formatted cf-card. After a test with cfe>dir I found all my kernels back! I then made a new MENU_4_COMMMAND and I had at least my old workin...
