Re: Menu Bar as a Window Status Bar
What I'm saying is that tabs like those often talked about concerning file managers and Shell should be candidates for a way in which the bigger picture desktop and old school menu bar can be displayed inside universal windows (apps/utils) and opened drawers. My suggestion is the lower bar of such w...

Re: Kernel 3.18
Something interesting. The recent kernel points at an opposite direction the X1000 users are on compared to what I read about on other forums concerning Radeon users and the latest kernel + drivers: while most users report concurring regressions, slowdowns and all around difficulties, users here rep...

Menu Bar as a Window Status Bar
Sometimes in the AOS4 iteration of drawers and files you lose focus of the old menu bar even if the bar is always on top because lots of details are available and can act as throw away objects and in details I also means lines, rectangles and mixed views so what could help is a representation of des...

Re: Kernel 3.18
Maybe we also need to test the latest kernel image which isn't compiled automatically for Power processors.

Re: Kernel 3.18
Another attempt: vmlinux-3.18.0-CC-KVM-PR-OVERLAYFS-AMIGA_one_X1000.tar.bz2 Please compare it with the RC7-2. I enabled some optimizations in the kernel config. Please test the cross compiled 3.18 final kernel. Tested. Again, seems fine. Don't know about the fps test. There's again a somewhat lower...

Re: Kernel 3.18
"CONFIG_USB_EHCI_ROOT_HUB_TT is not set" I use a usb hub that sometimes fail to initialize and I've noticed you didn't enable it in the kernel config and even without that it sometimes works at boot tryout. "STLAB superspeed usb 3.0 hub" connected via 2.0. Which variables do I ha...

Re: Lubuntu 14.10 beta 1 is working with the following limit
Yes I mean the OpenGL GLX video output (XCB). You can always try the vdpau directly with many players and see that it doesn't work and its updates always show with relation to Nvidia or (lately) Intel developments. Maybe the VA-API used as a layer for the VDPAU? if everthing goes through such proce...

Re: Kernel 3.18
Well, I get around 600 fps both with and without the cross-compiled kernel where the CC one gives a couple dozens frames less than the non-CC one. Regarding system wide performance everything I normally do including working with compositing effects and screen apps seems normal. FF is heavy as usual ...
