Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
holding the power button down for any amount of time won't work (this happens roughly every 3'rd or 4'th boot) I would be willing to bet a pizza that this is caused by occasionally intermittent contacts in your power pushbutton. Turning the power ON only requires a brief contact, which so far seems...

Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
Unfortunately I can't remove the network connector from the motherboard. When I plug the network cable in the motherboard then the X1000 a l w a y s boot up without any problems. That's my solution at this time ;) Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot without network cable in the motherboard. The X1000 ...

@ blmara so can you print both text & graphics?? Your printer is most likely a DOT4 printer like my HP LaserJet 1012 so follow this 'tiny' thread over at amigans.net http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum/viewtopic.php?start=0&topic_id=3273&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&type=&mode=0...

@ xenic
oh I see it's a card you installed yourself then. I mistakenly thought the card was installed by Amigakit.

Re: New X1000
[However, the included sound card makes scratching noises at the beginning of almost every sound played and probably needs an updated driver. I've replaced the sound card with one that works well so that's not a problem for me now. I'm happy with my purchase and I'm happy with AmigaKit's service. c...

Re: set up to read floppies on X1000?
You need a CatWeasel PCI card and a floppy disk drive. I am doing this with a CatWeasel Mark IV card in my X1000 after having relocated my PCI network card with a PCIe adapter to free a PCI slot. I have read that an earlier version of the CatWeasel will be going back into production. The one I have...

Hi 328gts, which 8169 card are you using? do you ever get random lockups with this card? Im using a Netgear GA311 (8169 chip) and I get complete lockups, have to hardreset. Oops sorry for the type o i'm actually using a no name low profile RTL 8139B NIC card (see my sig for my full setup). So far n...
