@ xeno74 strange as I didn't have the constantly flashing LED's when mine wouldn't boot? boot I'm not convinced it's a CPU voltage problem just yet as your start up problems sound almost identical to mine. do you have a PCI-e to PCI extender card? have you tried replacing the PSU? where are your ram...

@ xeno 74 & all I can now finally say with confidence that my intermittent boot up problems are solved :D thanks to Matthew @ Amigakit for getting me started to solve the problem and Lyle for allowing me to free up a free PC slot on NEMO. what i did: 1- Turn off PSU power, remove PSU power cable...

nope not yet but I'm currently working with Amigakit and experimenting with different things. Once I get it booting on a regular basis with no issues I'll post my solution here, (fingers crossed) promise ;)

btw, +1 to what Trevor said about messing with the rescue firmware.

well it went alot further with the 3.8.7 kernel right up to asking to confirm the UTC clock but after reset getting same screen ??

Could you try to install an another kernel for example kernel-3.8.7x1000.tar.gz, please?
