Re: My system built to be terminated...

Well, much to my dismay, I have read through all 4 pages of this thread, and I have have seen no positives coming from it. Accusations of targeting and deliberate sabotage have no substantiations as far as I can can see. The findings of Helge's brother have not yet been disclosed, yet alone been pro...

Re: Updates when?

Well, while nothing to do with me, I know that changes are happening within the infrastructure to ensure that only FE customers get to see any updates (unless they are critical updates applicable to older versions). As FE was the last in the 4.1 line, and it was offered at a seriously reduced rate, ...

Re: OS4.1FE, RunInUAE and Volumes List

At a guess, I would suggest that RunInUae is doing something with the volume/device list which is causing the ASL requester to constantly refresh. Perhaps asking Chris Handley personally what his program is doing might reveal more useful feedback, but it certainly doesn't seem like an OS problem, mo...

Re: FormatCDRW crash at startup under FE

The device and unit tooltypes cannot reliably be set by default. Bear in mind that the Sam uses (by default) the sii3114ide.device, but it could use another card. Any platform with a PCI slot could use sii0680, sii3112, sii3114 or any of the other supported cards . How would we go about setting a de...

Re: Reimplementing Images in clicktab.gadget

And primarily, it was changed to stop users inadvertently closing tabs by clicking on the close gadget of an inactive tab while trying to switch to it. This is why inactive tabs do not show the close gadget, so the user can click anywhere inside it to switch to that tab. Then, and only then, can the...

Re: WBStartup issue

I think you'll find this is fixed in the latest prefs editor which hasn't yet been released as an update.

Re: GA_HintInfo in getfont.gadget?

I'm guessing they are button gadgets using the getfont glyph, instead of using the getfont gadget directly. Obviously, the button.ghadget accepts GA_Hintinfo correctly.

Re: GA_HintInfo in getfont.gadget?

Yes, that looks like it could be my fault. After checking the sources after your report, it appears I never implamemnted the OM_SET on the GA_HintInfo tag, so trying to set the string will be always ignored. My bad! It's fixed now for version 53.10+. Hopefully, it will be available in a public updat...

Re: Shell executes command on close

I think the point he was trying to make is that the shell assumes that anything on the command line should be executed when the shell is closed. Shouldn't that be taken as a "cancel" event, rather than a positive event?
