The pen definitions (TEXTPEN, SHINEPEN etc) are indexes into the dri_Pens[] array in the DrawInfo sctructure.

You can always specify a direct pen number from ObtainBestPen/FindColor etc too.

The answer is to get the author of the application to add "GA_Underscore, ~0" to the string gadget tags. It's not an OS issue.

IIRC, the hard disk driver is still, as yet, unfinished. So it possibly does not support CDs right now/

Is it possible that it is trying to install something in WBStartup, which obviously does not exist in AmigaOS 4.1?

ENVARC: and ENV: definitely are both available under 4.1.

If the left-out icons are on a JXFS partition, bear in mind they are read-only under FE.

Can you generate a small program to reproduce the problem?

Looking at your code, and the crashlog really doesn't give any context.
