Re: VTX Radeon HD 6670 1GB GDDR3 not working
Here are the serial kernel log of the Asus, using "serial munge debuglevel=9" as a boot parameter. Please do NOT set a high debug level when dealing with graphics card problems. The debug level adjusts the kernel's debug output, not the graphics driver's. All you're doing is flooding the ...

Re: Black screen at boot time on a Sam460ex - Apple 27 minid
I use a DVI-D (single link) -> HDMI on my Samsung 28d590d to get 3840x2160 @30Hz. With a Radeon 6450 that is, I adjusted Workbench font sizes to 24 and 32 to make it readable without a loupe. In that case, you may find that your horizontal resolution is halved (i.e., 1920 instead of 3840), because ...

Re: Black screen at boot time on a Sam460ex - Apple 27 minid
@Benny I already answered in the PM, but for everyone else's benefit... Actually, before that, please don't send me a PM in addition to making a forum post. It's kind of like sending the same email to all of my email addresses, which is annoying. Any news on DisplayPort support ? Sorry, but DisplayP...

Re: Three Graphics cards on X1000 possible?
I booted into CFE and did a show vga command to show the three cards are recognised as present by CFE - not sure if this helps but maybe it does - not sure why one device has a * next to it? is it relevant? I'm guessing that the * means that the card wasn't initialised properly. That * is next to t...

Re: Three Graphics cards on X1000 possible?
I tried this evening creating the additional PCIGraphics2 monitor driver in DEVS:Monitors under AmigaOS4.1.6 (i did modify the length field because it is now 12 instead of 11 for PCIGraphics), but still the same result, it freezes when the progress bar completes on the x1000 boot screen with the th...

Re: Three Graphics cards on X1000 possible?
I tried this evening creating the additional PCIGraphics2 monitor driver in DEVS:Monitors under AmigaOS4.1.6 (i did modify the length field because it is now 12 instead of 11 for PCIGraphics) So you now have one called PCIGraphics and another one called PCIGraphics2? I think you might need to renam...

Re: Three Graphics cards on X1000 possible?
As you say, it isn't getting to the second level booter, so I suspect the problem is cfe based. The cfe firmware is upgraded - it was the version released at the time the dual display functionality was released back in July 2012. Is there a newer version of cfe than that available on a-eon.com? I c...

Re: Three Graphics cards on X1000 possible?
Is it possible, and how do I go about doing it if it is? Thanks in advance for your help. In theory it should be possible, although I haven't tried it myself. On the AmigaOS side, you'd create a copy of your PCIGraphics monitor in DEVS:Monitors/. You'd call this PCIGraphics2, but leave all of its t...

Re: monitor screen size problem
@kilaueabart Your find-something-in-a-menu suggestion was right on! "Set to screen size." I don't understand why a 1920x1080 monitor doesn't automatically have a 1920x1080 screen size (with VGA it apparenlty does), but whatever works. Thank you. HDMI is basically DVI with a few extensions ...

Re: OS4.0 hdd booting problems
You are correct. 68K, does not like DOS6/ 7. No, you are wrong. FFS V51 (68k) comes with OS 4.0 and it is required to install OS 4.0 on a partition with long file names (DOS\7 or SFS). And it is required to put the file system used (68k) into the RDB because DOS\7 is not known to Kickstart 3.x (as ...
