Re: Kernel 4.9
I don't know how to say it one more time: no kernel works for me since 4.7. That darren patch that fixed things for all of you NI guys didn't do so for me with a R9-270 GCN 1.0. It goes to a very early boot stage when it says - "boots something something ........" and then nothing. It is ...

Re: Kernel 4.9
Hi All, I am looking for a tester for testing the Linux 4.9 alpha kernels. Could you please test them. I cross compiled the kernels and I don't have the opportunity to test them here at the AmiWest. Thanks, Christian I have tested the first and the most recent, both boot reliably, but I've noticed ...

Re: Kernel not ELF compatible
It's the old CFcard trick! It seems that the file allocation table FAT gets screwed up when deleting files. Someday I might look at it with a hex editor. My suggestion is to make a small 2-4GB ext2 partition on either your sda drive or get a PATA drive. Just remember that any HDD you want to load k...

Re: Kernel 4.8
Hi Guys, I have done a bit more work towards cleaning up the Nemo patch, and have a new one to be tested. This one adds the isa bus on the SB600 in a new more generic way. This removes the need for patches to 'arch/powerpc/kernel/pci-common.c' and fixes the following two issues: 1) We no longer need...

Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 16.04 LTS
I'm unable to enable compiz or hardware acceleration. I tried different kernels, at the moment I'm using 4.6.4 (the latest of the 4.6 series) In MATE Tweak/Windows only "Marco (no comp)" and "Marco (Software compositor" are available. In Synaptics Package Manager "compiz&qu...

Re: Broken Cluster Geometry -- CF CARD?
Amiga's Media Toolbox shows something odd. One choice is "CF CARD," at Id,LUN 0,0, "Fixed Hard Disk, Not Installed." But if I go to the section where my two 1TB hard drives, the CD/DVD, and SSD are listed, the first hard drive is also at Id,LUN 0,0. Does it make sense to have tw...

Re: Broken Cluster Geometry -- CF CARD?
Well, it seems that in my case reformatting as FAT32 got things almost back to normal, including WB, with the mysterious exception that my CPU meter Docky had disappeared. But CF CARD was on WB as it always used to be. I was expecting it to show up automatically on the MATE desktop as it always had...

Re: Kernel 4.7
Hi Kilaueabart & Mechanic, I cross compiled the RC5 with Darren's bootfix on my x86_64 Ubuntu server 14.04 today. Download: vmlinux-4.7-rc5-AmigaONE_X1000.tar.gz Could you please test the RC5? I don't know if it boots because I have only my x86 Server for compiling here. -PLEASE- Thanks in adva...
