Re: USB3-Card with X1000 without USB3-Driver as USB2 ?
News: I get a USB3-Card LinuxPPC see it but without a xHCI-HCD no Work. I pull it out for later if OS4.x and LinuxPPC can use it ;) Here give this a try with your new card. install it to /lib/modules/3.5.7X1000/kernel/drivers/usb/host/ You will probably need to be root to do this, and I expect you'...

Re: Linux kernel 3.5.7 and HD6670
Nice. Can you try the Joystick.kernelmodule with supertuxkart_0.8 ? I tried with a USB joypad, supertuxcart sees the joypad (listed under controllers) but I couldn't play the game on it. I don't have a Analogue joystick handy, maybe you will have better luck. I did get the joypad to work with BZFla...

Re: Linux kernel 3.5.7 and HD6670
The modules should have been with the kernel file itself. affs is built in (it is on all my builds) I'll see about compiling the joystick tonight, shouldn't be too hard.zappa2009 wrote:Where can i get 3.5.7 Kernel-module for my installation.
I missing Joystick.ko and affs.ko

Re: Liinux Installation on X1000 kills hisself !
Do you use a CF inside in the X1000 to boot the Kernel ? or boot it with the FFS-Boot-Partition on the HDD. The kernel will not boot at all if it is on a RDSK partitioned disk, This is a know CFE bug. When i boot with this -> boot -elf -noints -fs=fat cf0:vmlinux-3.5.7 ->Kernel panic cannotn fount ...

Re: AmiUpdate 2.25 crash
I get the same on mine but I use an X1000. On my rollback it takes me to 2.22 though and not 2.24 like you say is yours. Wonder why yours is 2.24 and mine is not rolling back to that? Or is 2.24 no longer being used as an updater to those running 2.22? TJ Amiupdate's rollback feature revets to the ...

Re: Questions about new linux kernel and SafeOff
Thanks for that.. I take it the patch I created applied OK then?marcus wrote:Change that to:daz wrote:I think the following will extract it:
cat /proc/ikconfig/config
zcat /proc/config.gz
and it works. This is how I got the base config for my own kernel build.

Re: Questions about new linux kernel and SafeOff
Thanks daz, marcus. I got kind of side tracked before trying this and managed to wipe out my Linux setup. DOH! However, it gave me opportunity to do a new install. This time I decided on Debian wheezy Beta 4 net install. I used the 3.5.7 kernel to do the install and it worked perfect, it even used ...

Re: Questions about new linux kernel and SafeOff
Where can I obtain the .config file used for the 3.5.7 kernel build? I've been including it in the kernel image for a while now, probably only on the kernels Trevor has been testing, sorry. I think the following will extract it: cat /proc/ikconfig/config I haven't tried this though. I'll investigat...

Re: Questions about new linux kernel and SafeOff
I haven't seen the 3.5.7 kernel, but I have been testing 3.5.5 for a couple of days, so I can give some feedback on that. My graphics card is a Radeon HD 6570. With 3.5.5, it works really well. All cards up to that one work well with 3.5.5, higher ones don't (kernel panic during boot), 3.5.7 fixes ...

Re: X1000 : graphical glitches with HD5450
No success, still have glitches in Ranger and AmiPDF (and TuneNet too have the buttons who are half displayed) I have tried this actions [.....] No luck for my first Contact with x1000 ;) Have you tried the card in a PC? Or you could try the card with Linux and see if the glitches are there also. I...
