Yes, you have the idea, I just thought just quickly dump it all in there and if it hangs then you know it's probably one of the files in kickstart, if not, we have to look at the system installation part which is more vast

The only thing that appears is "ÿ" sign in the shell window when powering on x1000. I do believe that is the first character you see on a serial feed but it is quickly followed by abbreviations in [] brackets I fear the worst but lets just hope its a combination of elements causing this b...
