Re: 8 bit screenmodes not always working
Perhaps not many people have a 460ex and/or bother using 8 bit screens and/or feel motivated to test this issue when other issues are more important to a bigger picture. I'll ask a typical trouble shooting question however, have you tried a different monitor? a different cable? a different frequency...

Re: Problems booting from external USB SDcard reader
ok sorry, guess you need something extra or tweaked in DEVS:USB or at least a uboot update and perhaps an associated sii3114ide_conf parameter addition... but enough of my horrible speculation

Re: Problems booting from external USB SDcard reader
Have you tried using NVSetVar boot1 [To your device abbreviation]
It's probably something I'd try to do given the circumstances
It'll probably set it fine (since I don't think NVSetVar really cares what you want to define) but whether or not it is properly recognised is another thing altogether

Re: What I expect on Update3
Because if it was considered 100% that would probably just be too much for someone to take and want to topple it, the desire to go from 99% to 98% I think is a lot more subdued?CygnusEd wrote: (But: 99%? Why not 100% ??)

Re: DMA on sii3114 on Sam460ex
Type this in a shell NVSetVar sii3114ide_xfer GG0G or NVSetVar sii3114ide_xfer GGGG if you don't care whether your DVDRW Drive is in PIO or Not... eg some people say 0 is the correct setting for CDRom/DVDRom drives... btw, some systems report that 0 1 2 and 3 are reversed so if GG0G doesn't do it fo...

Re: GCC 4.2.4 optimization bug
Yes I remember Gunther Nikl repeatedly saying the similair on the old gcc list, It's great to look forward to doing all this stuff myself... Only at my extreme witts end would I admitt defeat and then have to contemplate the possibility I have indeed discovered a genuine gcc generated bug ;) Of cour...

Re: WBPattern Prefs
Doesn't that mean its a waste of time reporting any bugs as it's possible to be already fixed in update 3? :? Oh course not, since you can't see a changelog of what has taken place you need to report everything, the developers do not mind seeing reports of bugs already squashed, it must be nice for...

Re: Horrendously large file cannot be deleted
complicated jargon kas1e, it might be just me but wasn't that just a whole heap of complicated jargon? ;) The man simply put his foot in it, sometimes if you do something which you really shouldn't do because the resources are tied up or they are working in a similair area quite hard you tip ...

Re: battmem.h missing on latest SDK ?
I'm no coding genuis but it looks like its been moved? DH0:SDK/Include/include_h/proto/battmem.h Since it includes DH0:SDK/Include/include_h/resources/battmem.h that has the declarations you require... perhaps its change in location is mentioned in the documentation with any other instructions... al...

Re: Storage Devices (Icon bug)
Its just like in the business world some times things just don't get done. 4 years down the road you manage to paint that sign or whatever finally. The good thing is it's ok to remind ourselves some things still need to be done, as long as its just a reminder and not a distraction of energy. I'd say...
