Re: Roadshow quietly dying in update 3 w dialup?
I used to have a similiar problem running my 604e with roadshow I created a script file (ascii with protection -s set) that I typed in a shell that released my old connection and established a new one when the internet connection was dropped, I can't remember what the command was either, it might be...

On the 733MHz SAM I run as my everyday system and using OS4.1.3 I've never had the keyboard or mouse once freeze or stop working (yes, I run that ACube patch too) And I hot swap my dick smith USB 7 in 1 media card reader and my Nokia 63 phone quite often ove...

Re: Amigaos4.1 Update 3 download failed
Lets try another approach
Enter downloads
Enter AmigaOS 4.x
Enter AmigaOS 4.1 Updates
Click on AmigaOS4.1Update3.lha to enter the agreement then consequently download it

Re: [Request] Spooler in PrinterPrefs and Notification suppo
Perhaps configuring the actual printer not to delete jobs in memory until new jobs need the space is an option? This way you could even beef up the memory in your printer and have this very solution with even more room ;) Please contact HP with this idea if not currently supported in there firmware,...

Re: Amigaos4.1 Update 3 download failed
Have you created an account at http://hyperion-entertainment.biz/ Have you clicked (under the User Menu heading in the left hand side bar) Product Registration Do you see your AmigaOS 4.1 for SAM460ex? (probably not because ACube would have needed access to you account to enter it for you) AmigaOS 4...

Re: Update 3 (classic) Troubles
hmmm, yes, sorry, I had mixed it up with OS4.0
Did you tinker with AGA only just to rule that route out?

Re: Update 3 (classic) Troubles
Just to cover the obvious and not sure whether update 3 installation checks if your system is running 4.1.x etc
You did a fresh install of OS4.1 - which included update 1?
You then installed update 2
THEN
you installed update 3
is this all correct?

Re: gcc does not recognise local headerfiles any more
why not use the combination option of -print-search-dirs and tweaking -B <directory> to find a happy and hopefully working medium/solution? If that does help does --sysroot=<directory> have any potential application? Also, perhaps the answer lies with unix paths and having to drop into sh and not mi...

Re: DMA on sii3114 on Sam460ex
You are correct either type this in a shell to leave optical drive in best PIO mode (arguably more correct)
NVSetVar sii3114ide_xfer 0GGG
or type this in a shell
NVSetVar sii3114ide_xfer GGGG
NVSetVar sii3114ide_xfer 0GGG
or type this in a shell
