Workbench 3.1 (40.43) & Kickstart 3.1 (40.72)

Very nice for you to sell these! I was happy to buy and have the first official Kickstart for my A4000T that includes workbench.library and equally happy that now same Kickstart can be used for A500 and A600. Could you please split the following files for EEPROM use and include also the splitted ver...

Re: Understanding and Optimization of OS 4.1 for Classics

I have not had a chance to try out any yet since my OS4.1 Classic installation just broke up by some AmiUpdates I installed manually and I'm currenlty trying to troubleshoot what happened to my SCSI CD ROM and why the whole drive is suddenly not visible in Early Startup Control Menu. I need to make ...

Re: Understanding and Optimization of OS 4.1 for Classics

I am adding this post on my OS 4.1 A4000T via Indivision's new X-Surf 100 NIC I got this past week. The 1 page manual is not explicit, and rather than Cerf for an answer, I just did trial and error to get it working in Z3 mode in my Mediator based A4000T. 1) Install the nifty card (it actually has ...

Re: CSPPC scsi controller HELP

Same with my external terminators half do and half don't. I do have one external diagnostic SCSI 2 pass-thru drive with 8 lights, but it does not terminate. I have 2 68-pin external male active LED terminators. Is there any way to connect them to CSPPC cable which I use since it only has 68-pin mal...

Re: CSPPC scsi controller HELP

I have not yet found any internal active terminators with LED. External active terminator with LED are much more common, but I think there is no way of connecting external terminators to CSPPC or atleast I have not a cable to support this or an adapter to gender change external terminator to fit cab...

Re: AmigaOS4.1Update3.lha - AmigaOS4.1Update6.lha corrupt

Looks like this was SCSI chain termination issue. Changed 50-pin SCSI-2 DVDROM (apparently with no integrated active termination) to 68-pin SCSI-3 CDROM with integrated active terminator (as stated in its documentation) and managed to extract all updated from newly burnt CD-RW. Thank you for guiding...

Re: AmigaOS4.1Update3.lha - AmigaOS4.1Update6.lha corrupt

md5sum correct in Amiga CD0: (Burnt DVD)
copying from CD0: to SYS: to Extract there results different md5sum in Amiga SYS:
Extracting from CD0: to SYS: results corruption

I'm puzzled...

Re: CSPPC scsi controller HELP

Yes, you need full(upper and lower byte) powered, "active" termination at both ends of the SCSI chain. I am sorry, but the CSPPC SCSI controller will simply not work or be too unreliable a y other way. SCSI I/II can be very forgiving, but SCSI 3 is not. I have now read a lot about SCSI te...

Re: Need help for setup RTL8029

SDformatter should erase everything from the CF card. Have a look at this to see if you are missing a step in the harddrive setup . http://blog.hyperion-entertainment.biz/?p=210 Thank you for the link! I was totally missing adding filesystem to RDB. Now I get it, but still I can only make FFS\07 bo...
