Re: Turbotext problem with OS4FEupdate2
Thanks for the info. Yes, the current sb600sata does require kernel >= 53.95, so that's probably why you can't boot when you only revert the kernel. BTW, I can recommend having an extra boot partition to boot from when you make those kinds of experiments - much easier and faster than fiddling around...

Re: Turbotext problem with OS4FEupdate2
Okay, sounds likely then. When you say you have tracked the problem down to those modules, what do you base that on? Do you have crash logs or similar pointing into them? Or is it just that the problem disappears when you revert them? If the latter, do you need to revert all three, or is one or two ...

Re: Turbotext problem with OS4FEupdate2
Sorry, mixed up your platforms.
Yes, then I guess it's worth a try if I can reproduce it on my own Sam460ex.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Best regards,
Best regards,
Niels

Re: Turbotext problem with OS4FEupdate2
Possibly.
I tested on my X1000 with a Radeon HD 6670, so it's not limited to the Sam460ex. BTW, I had booted from my beta partition, but I don't expect that to matter much (I'll try my public upd2 config as well later).
Best regards,
Niels

Re: Turbotext problem with OS4FEupdate2
(Thanks for the reminder, almost forgot :-/) I tried it now after copying over the TurboText installation from AmigaForever 8. I do get the same problem you see, xenic. I start TTX, Open, select TurboText_Manual (it's actually an AmigaGuide document, but that shouldn't make a difference; the size mi...

Re: update 2 - found a regression in copy
is C:Copy responsible for opening the copy *window* when i drag and drop stuff (i thought it is only used for shell copy stuff)? Or is it rather part of ASyncWB/DOSLib (which would be back at Hyperion then)? The d&d copying process of Workbench is handled by ASyncWB (if that commodity is starte...

Re: Setting Odyssey as default tool in Deficons? (Solved)
I do have Odyssey in APPDIR:, and my use of the launch-handler in general works fine (e.g. starting a browser from a link in a mail in YAM etc.). But I see you have set (or left) the Icon to start in Workbench, I had changed mine to start from Shell, as I figured UrlOpen is a Shell command. Also, my...

Re: EXTMem
AFAIK, it is not that nobody bothered, but more that nobody has (so far) succeeded in fixing it. I'm sorry, I was making too quick thinking. But this comment suggests that support for the dual memory controller won't happen either maybe ever most likely. You can definitely not conclude that from my...
