That is strange. It claims it will take hours to perform a GB/s operation. But the speed in somewhere in between.xeno74 wrote: Thu Nov 20, 2025 7:11 am Strange progress but the transfer was very fast. 117.3 MB/s equal 938.4 Mbit/s.

Re: ShowConfig no longer outputs to stdout
Another possibility is to also use "TO=REPORT/K". This would include the standard TO and the REPORT keyword as the same option.

Re: New kernels
RC6 tested and working on my Mate system. Will test Mint later. I had forgot to copy across the modules on my test system, which I corrected, but the kernel booted fine with no major issues or errors in dmesg.

Re: AmiUpdate - how I fall behind?
Sure, we can expect blips where something does not work, but it should be fixed robustly, not just left that everyone has to execute a manual workaround.
There does not seem to be robust communication processes in place to let people know... they are just left with "HHmmmm... not seen any updates ...

Re: New kernels
Yes, aspm kernels have issues. The kernel developers are working on these issues. Does the default RC5 work?
Thanks for testing,
Christian
Just testing now. Yes the default RC5 works. Both on Mate and Mint.
For the ASPM kernel they both broke on the rcu, Mate kept trying. Mint ended up ...

Re: New kernels
Hi. Just an update on my where abouts. I've had some kernel trouble since the RC3. Some time has passed and now three generations later the RC5 is out. The main RC3 was fine but I tested the aspm variant and it broke on my system. I still want to collect logs but I got a different response depending ...

Re: New kernels
Mint looks good! Xorg load was 2% until I loaded Arctic and now at 7% but smooth. I did notice this USB message. EM interference?
I wonder if it causes trouble with OS4. My keyboard is dead on boot a lot. And even more likely is dead keyboard in boot shell which is a bit useless.

Re: New kernels
I had only about 20% CPU usage with the RC2 if the X1000 not in use.
Just testing now on MATE. System load is around 25% and slightly above. While Firefox is open. Early tests are good. Will try Mint next.
I looked up this error. Not much about it. Appears to mostly turn up when Linux is ...
