I have the same error messages but without Segmentation fault and the video works.

Please update VLC to version 3.0.22-rc2 or upgrade your entire MintPPC32 system.

I upgraded MintPPC32 today and VLC 3.0.22-rc2 works.
The dependencies for VLC 3.0.22-rc2 are automatically installed during the upgrade.
I didn’t need any additional packages.

The new SeaLion 33.9.0.1 crashes on MintPPC32 when visiting certain websites for example heise.de . The reason for this is MintPPC32's libavcodec.so.61.19.101. I have figured it out with gdb.

Error message:

Illegal instruction

On Void PPC works the libavcodec.so.58 with the new SeaLion 33.9.0 ...

I upgraded my MintPPC32 today. Now I have VLC 3.0.22-rc2 installed.

I can play the mp4 (720p), avi (1080p) and h264 (1080p) videos of Big Buck Bunny with the following options.
