I haven't been able to participate in this group for a long time. My X5000 stopped connecting with the internet and I haven't been able to figure out how to remedy that yet. My mind has quit working, apparently due to age. (Body too.)

I saw the new note about RC3 from Microsoft Edge on my laptop and thought, oh boy, I'm going to get caught up again. So I booted up the X5000 and tried a couple of browsers in Fienix and got told that my Hyperion was down or something. Tried again from Adelie. Same story. I wonder what would happen ...

I'm so far gone it doesn't make a lot of sense for me to keep trying, but Kernel 6.15 RC2 is doing its thing on machine.

It looks like Kernel 6 R1 6.15 RC1 is going to be one of those things that work on my cranky machine.

Apparently that bit about "You may also attach files by dragging and dropping them in the message box" is not one of them. I tried the original of the above ...

I downloaded the Kernel 6.15 Alpha6 archive to Adelie, but again Engrampa de-archives it as an empty 0-byte file named "/home/live/Downloads/linux-image-6.15.0-alpha6-X1000_e5500." So I took care of it from Fienix again. Back to Adelie, and its System Monitor says it's getting along fine with the ...

System Monitor claims that alpha5 of kernel 6.15 is up and running. That means I have managed to finally get back on track too.

You have copied the wrong kernel.

No. It was stupider than that. I forgot to edit the boot commands to 6.15.
