Update The FAQ To help people like me who did not realize the the Fast ATA driver was built into OS4.1 and set to PIO4 (that was a really dumb idea) Quite a few Fast ATA 1200 MKIII users cannot go faster than PIO3 no matter what make,age or model Harddrive is installed.
