I read the recent news item from Hyperion about the alleged bancruptcy, and one of the ways to help was to purchase and register OS4.1FE to get updates.
Well I have purchased and installed OS4.1 FE, and thought I would register the product on Hyperions site.

I find that I have to go to printer prefs and change my settings to use the parallel printer device instead of usbprinter device, save and reboot, and then any time I want to print, go change my printer prefs to use usbprinter device (whiile my usb printer is turned on and is connected) and then ...

The printer support in OS4 has always been sadly lacking (we can't use anything from OS 3.9 and Turboprint barely runs because of its old bugs).
I use it every day, and the only 'bug' I have experience of is not being able to change to another printer device.

Right-Click and "auto-resize" is there but it only minimizes my dock, so it's not really useable

In the last tab of amidock preferences, you must turn on "the dock is sizeable" (the first tick). You can right click on your dock and select "auto resize".
For subdock, I recommend you to try Smartbutton.docky from centaurz (on OS4depot)
