I read the recent news item from Hyperion about the alleged bancruptcy, and one of the ways to help was to purchase and register OS4.1FE to get updates.
Well I have purchased and installed OS4.1 FE, and thought I would register the product on Hyperions site.
I have tried 3 times, double checking the ...

Re: Usb Amigados process 112
OK.
The usb stick is 512mb, 56% full, 222.5mb free, 279.4mb in use, and
it took 20 seconds to display the files, without selecting show all files.
Select contents was then fairly instant. (?)
It then took 24 seconds for the right-mouse context button to come up.

Usb Amigados process 112
I have just come across a problem with USB, or AmigaDOS on OS4.1 update4.
I have a usb stick which contains some 234 files which are ripped tracks from a 12 CD audiobook.
On my hard drive I have now joined the 20 od tracks from each cd, into one mp3 per CD, so only 12 files.

Re: Some working USB2 cards
I have purchased this PCI card with a 3port internal Hub
I installed it today and both the rear ports work.
I don't now how to test the speed, but I can play .avi movies from a 500gb external drive with DvPlayer.
The only problem (?) I have is opening pdf files directly from the hard drive.

Re: usbprinter.device problem if printer not turned on
The printer support in OS4 has always been sadly lacking (we can't use anything from OS 3.9 and Turboprint barely runs because of its old bugs).
I use it every day, and the only 'bug' I have experience of is not being able to change to another printer device.

Re: Amidock limits
I have only "Dock is minimizable" and "Dock is hidden" in the last tab (Misc)
Do you happen to work with a beta version?
Right-Click and "auto-resize" is there but it only minimizes my dock, so it's not really useable
I don't have either of those two options selected, and auto-resize worked for ...

Re: Amidock limits
In the last tab of amidock preferences, you must turn on "the dock is sizeable" (the first tick). You can right click on your dock and select "auto resize".
For subdock, I recommend you to try Smartbutton.docky from centaurz (on OS4depot)
Cordialy,
Petrol.

Re: Amidock limits
Annoying is it! No auto-resize, scratching my head the other day after it happened to me.
But, if you move the mouse pointer slowly toward the end of the first row the mouse pointer will change to a red arrow. Now hold down the left mouse button and move to the right.

Amidock limits
I have Amidock set up as essentially the default from update 3 with the addition of a subdock which has my work programs in, such as Pagestream, Turbocalc, Wordworth etc. There are eleven icons, and Amidock is locked to the bottom right of my screen.
If I try to add another program/icon to my main ...
