Re: Where to pick the default printed page size?

Yes, GetPrefs() is REALLY OLD and is only supported for backward compatibility with OS 1.x. It can't really represent all the preferences that OS 2.0 and higher can save. The way to read preferences since 2.0 is not as simple, unfortunately, and is described in the link below: https://wiki.amigaos.n...

Is that true in general or just for classic?

Re: Bug in Multiview Search requester

Actually, I just saw a similar problem in an ASL requester (well, I assume it was ASL) last night and forgot where it was. It might be a problem in some very common code. When I remember/repeat it I will post where it was.

Thanks. I knew it was one of those things that show up at random, but I got it more often than not. Thanks for confirming and raising.

Bug in Multiview Search requester

AmigaOS 4.1 FE on SAM 460CR ========================== Multiview: 53.8 datatypes.library: 53.4 text.datatype: 53.8 ================= I think there is a bug (unterminated string) in the "Find ... " command where it adds trailing garbage characters to subsequent searches (i.e. find, then fin...

Re: I cannot update to 5

If it works on update 4 and you have update 8 coming, why not just leave it as is and then install the new version when it arrives? You can't install it over the top of a current install anyway.

Re: 4.1 fe long boot process

I couldn't get the delays to stop either.

I have a 3114 with a DVD and HDD plugged into the end of the card (as opposed to the connectors along the top). I originally plugged them in the top because it was easy to get to but they were not recognised with that configuration.

Re: 4.1 fe long boot process

Hey Interrogative.

Have you tried actually setting sii3114ide_conf to the expected values? I have a 3114 too and I thought this would work to skip the long device check. I'll try tonight.

Re: Sam460Ex AOS Display/Boot Problem

Thanks for the tips Spectre660. I will look into it. However, I have an update that can help others. The CPU is what was overheating. Although it had a heatsink/fan provided, the sticky stuff used to attach them to the CPU does not seem to conduct the heat very well. I took the sticker off and appli...

Re: Sam460Ex AOS Display/Boot Problem

@thread FYI, I also just got a SAM460cr and have the SATA card and Radeon right next to each other. I get about 10 minutes use before lockup ... unless I take the side of the case off and lie it down, so definitely a heat issue. That card does seem to get REAL HOT and there is little circulation bet...
