I saw several references on a web search for Linux and Radeon RX550, talking about performance benchmarks. So apparently there is now Linux support for the Polaris 12 cards. Does the latest Fienix release support the RX550 on an Amiga X5000? I haven't tried booting into Linux with my Fienix stick ...

Thanks for that reminder. I checked and I am able to get in to the various Hyperion sites with mine. But even when using these parameters with update.amigaos.net, Amiupdate does not show timesync.library.

OK, I see what you're saying now. I think I actually ended up putting a 3114 into my X5000, too.

Random thought/shot in the dark: Are any of your drives on the 3114 bootable? If so, might it be fighting over the two or more drives having the same boot priority set?

If I remember right from my A1-XE days, the 3114 does not allow booting. You would need a 3112 or 3512.

Do note that the thread ZeroG links to is quite old and only deals with AmigaOnes (SE, XE G3/G4 etc.).

I don't know for a fact whether the same cards will necessarily work in an X1000 or an X5000.

When you say you can't read the version string from the icon, I wonder if maybe the problem instead is that your installed AmiDVD program is corrupted.

Try doing a Version from the Shell on it.

I can read a DVD and copy from it using this Asus DVD burner. But AmiDVD doesn't recognize that the drive is there. I've added "p5020sata.device 1" as a tooltype to AmiDVD hoping it might do ...
