OS 3.1.4(.1), screenmodes and system time
With OS 3.1.4, it appears that system time on certain hardware ends up depending on active screenmode, and that one "amiga minute" is only 60 real life seconds for PAL modes, and with NTSC modes one "amiga minute" is closer to 52 real life seconds or so, system time running much ...

Re: Maximum window sizes
So why does OS4.1 (FEU2HF1) allow windows to be larger than screen size? Perhaps it should have the same limitations that intuition v45 of OS3.1.4 has? In OS4, if you hold down Ctrl + LAmiga, you can drag a window by clicking anywhere in it (except active string gadgets etc). And the same could be ...

Maximum window sizes
OS3.1.4 with intuition.library v45 does not allow windows to be larger than screen, for the reason that it may make windows impossible to handle, as widgets and gadgets can become inaccessible, locate outside of the visible screen area, according to ThoR. And besides, Microsoft Windows has the same ...

Workbench 3.2 - reset Workbench icon locations
Workbench lacks (at least) one obvious feature - reset position of all device icons, left out icons etc on the actual desktop. The most obvious choice, "Update all" in the Workbench menu, only resets the icons in open windows, all of them except the desktop. The second most obvious choice,...

Re: Amiga OS4.1fe update2 hotfix on BlizzardPPC
Hi I have found that the update2 kickstart even after the hotfix does not make the Swap work. Filling the Fast Ram the system crashes and does not fill the virtual memory. Well, the update is so evil that it actually replaces your startup-sequence, though it keeps the old startup-sequence as a back...

Re: 3.1.4 free update
Sarcasm? ;) No, that was a quite accurate description of the situation. Now, if only they cold be bothered to also fix the certificates on the webserver, as they expired more than 2 months ago. And then allow me to change password on my user account over https, so I won't have to "re-register&...

Re: Boot issues with OS3.14 (cc0/cpu cash)
Why doesn't it work?Mark Sealey wrote: as Fblit doesn't work any more.
FBlit worked just fine with 3.1.4 on my MiST, using the "3.9" FBlit config from IconLib 46.4.

Re: 3.1.4 free update
It is still in progress, like Gulliver said. Always in progress, just like OS4? Between OS 3.5 and 3.9 there was 14 months. Between 3.1.4 and 3.1.4.1 there are now 10 months, and counting... will it be less or more than 14 months? Olsen is apparently hoping for his own private "Summer of Code&...
