Re: Bought a Sam 460ex, advice please on how to get the most out of it

Heh thanks, it's my first amigaone i was a power user (500+, 1200, 4000) back in the day but past fifteen years or so has been UAE only. But now I have this 460ex (with 4.1FE) I'm keen to ensure I take good care of it, that I optimise it carefully and in particular be aware of any quirks or gotchas ...

Bought a Sam 460ex, advice please on how to get the most out of it

Hi I bought a working used 460ex and I'd like to know how to get the most out of it and how to care for it for keeping it in good working order long term. Any tips welcome.

Re: What is the latest baseline OS4 SDK?

Thanks again. I can understand why libpng or expat might be readily make-able without modifications, but surely Cairo is dependent on underlying native APIs for drawing and stuff? Or is it itself built on top of SDL or something?

Re: What is the latest baseline OS4 SDK?

Thank you. Are there any newer versions of some of the prebuilt libs e.g. Cairo other than those found on os4depot?

What is the latest baseline OS4 SDK?

I have the version downloadable from here at Hyperion. But since many of the libs and also GCC have much newer versions, what is the common baseline you all use these days?

Re: Classic/68K Development tooling baseline

Judging by the activity on this board there aren't many. Where is the best place to hang out to make sure one has the latest known-good tooling anyway? The downloadable SDK is several years old now, surely things have moved on a bit?

Re: Updated SDK

A newer GCC would be a great help, one with C++11 support.

Re: Classic/68K Development tooling baseline

Sadly no one there answering either, asked a similar question. Was hoping this board might be where the serious people hang out.
